  • Ethnic Self-Consciousness of Students and its Development in the Process of Studying the Discipline «Theory and Methods of Ethnocultural Education»

    Abstract:
    The article examines the problems of the formation of ethnic self-awareness of university students in the process of teaching the discipline «Theory and methods of ethnocultural education». The relevance of the study is determined by the state policy that elevates culture to the rank of national priorities and recognizes it as the most important factor in the harmonization of public relations, the guarantor of the preservation of a single cultural space and territorial integrity. The purpose of the article is to consider the issues of content-methodological and educational plan in the formation and development of ethnic self-consciousness of students of higher educational institutions in the process of teaching the dissertation "Theory and methodology of ethno-cultural education". The analysis of normative-legal and legislative acts in the field of culture and education, observation, and the method of generalization of pedagogical experience allowed us to identify effective forms and means of ethno-cultural education of students. The data of a sociological survey conducted before and after studying the discipline "Theory and methodology of ethno-cultural education" among students of the training direction "Folk Art Culture" of the Chuvash State Institute of Culture and Arts are presented in the article. Based on the data obtained by such criteria as the level of formation of ethnonigilism, ethnic indifference, positive ethnic identity, ethno-egoism, ethno-isolationism, ethno-fanaticism, conclusions were drawn about the positive result of the study and recommendations were made for the development of ethnic self-knowledge of students in the course of studying the discipline "Theory and Methodology of ethno-cultural education".

    Abstract:
    Аnnotation: the article presents the analysis of the problem of the formation of the civic identity of the individual and the civil consciousness of adolescents; it reveals the prospects for overcoming the difficulties associated with the formation of an active civil position, social responsibility, patriotism and sociocentric motivation. It is shown that student's age, following adolescence, remains a sensitive period for the formation of the «I-concept» of the personality, the formation of values of the highest order, such as honour, conscience, dignity, love for the motherland. It is in this period that the most significant is the definition of a life strategy based on the criticality of thinking, the ability to block the negative influences of society on the harmonious development of the personality and the full-fledged formation of a person as a citizen.

  • Revisiting the Role of Environmental Education in Eco-Friendly Awareness Formation

    Abstract:
    The article is devoted to the analysis of the role that environmental education and upbringing play in the formation of eco-friendly awareness and thinking. The author outlines that at the moment, it is becoming clear that it is impossible to overcome the ecological crisis exclusively by technical means. It is also noted that the creation of a system of environmental education and upbringing is one of the most important ways to overcome the environmental crisis. The result of the work of such a system should be the formation of a developed eco-friendly awareness among all age and social groups. Theoretical bases. The features of environmentalism and the principles of eco-friendly awareness formulated by N.F. Reimers are reviewed; the main requirements for modern environmental education are analyzed. Special attention is paid to ecological culture in the philosophy of ecology. The scientific and educational projects in the field of ecology aimed at the exchange of experience and practical skills between the older and younger generations are described. As part of the course "History and philosophy of science" at the Institute of philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences, postgraduate students of biological specialties are taught a course on the basics of bio-and ecophilosophy to develop a holistic worldview in the field of science under study. It is concluded that environmental education contributes to the development of eco-friendly awareness, ecological culture and eco-friendly thinking, which is the most important condition for overcoming the environmental crisis and the harmonious coexistence of humanity and nature.

    Abstract:
    The relevance of the development of the concept of orphaned children’s civic education is justified in the article. The concept is based on the provision on the possibility of forming the subject citizenship of orphaned children in the museum environment. The main content of the concept is disclosed: the description of methodological approaches on which the concept is based is presented. A number of patterns of the process of orphaned children’s civic education have been identified, principles of civic education have been defined and revealed, conditions and rules for their implementation have been described.

    Abstract:
    A problem of defining and structuring cultural information in relation to cultural studies and linguistics is raised in the article. The purpose of the author in theoretical aspect is to give definition of linguistic and cultural information and select its unit and in pragmatic aspect is to include linguistic and cultural information in foreign languages learning content. During the study of the problem raised in the article the following research methods were applied: theoretical analysis of the cultural, linguistic and psychology and pedagogical literature on problem stated above, study and analysis of language training of potential foreign language teachers in order to identify effective methods of cultural concept introduction in content of language and multicultural education, analysis of textbooks, manuals and programs, best practices, research and experimental work. The author of the article presents a definition of background information based on structure of its unit – cultural concept. In the pragmatic aspect an attempt was made in order to include background information in foreign languages learning content. The criteria for selecting cultural concepts as a unit of study were defined. In the author's opinion, a cultural concept can be considered a unit of learning content in the foreign language teaching methodology.

    Abstract:
    The article discusses the main features of the kindergarten educational environment for the development of preschool children’s self-consciousness. The authors provide a general description of the children's self-consciousness with a general speech underdevelopment, describe the main areas of work on the development of self-awareness with this category of children. As the authors note, the development of the ability to analyze and to evaluate what is happening, as well as familiarity with various social roles, contributes to leveling existing difficulties in interacting with society in children with general speech underdevelopment, allows preschoolers to become more self-confident, to embed a positive self-concept and increase the level of claims.

    Abstract:
    The author of the article notes that the legal culture determines the level of legal knowledge, legal understanding and legitimacy. The article considers the peculiarities of the formation of the legal culture of the reign of Peter the Great. Attention is paid to causality and factors affecting the quality and condition of the legal consciousness and legal culture of the period under study looked through in the historical and legal context. The researcher concluded that the reforms of Peter I significantly changed the content of the legal culture of Russian society, primarily due to the increasing role of legislation and politics.

    The article is devoted to the understanding of M. K. Mamardashvili's views on the problem of teaching philosophy in higher educational institutions, the analysis of the role of philosophy in modern society and in the education system. It is shown that, despite the presence of philosophy as an obligatory discipline of the basic part of the curriculum, it is possible to state the absence of an integral image of its teaching. The main attention is focused on changing the status of philosophy in the educational process.
