  • Schematization in Teaching Philosophy to Students With Non-Philosophy Majors

    Abstract:
    The problem of using schemes and schematization for teaching philosophy is discussed in the article. The purpose of the article is to analyze methodical aspects of schematization when teaching philosophy to students with non-philosophy majors. Methods of research. During the study, the analysis of study guides containing schemes and tables was carried out. Some problems of schematization, its strengths and weaknesses are defined. Work with schemes at classes and independent work is considered. Special attention was paid to methodical recommendations on schematization. Based on the results of the study, conclusions were made about difficulty of using schemes when teaching philosophy. It is outlined that schematization can simplify a philosophical problem so far as to distort it, but it can also foster learning new educational material. Analysis of study guides containing schemes and tables presents a substantial difference between them as well as variations of applying them in learning process. Schematization can be used for systematizing learning materials, development of critical thinking, seeking and implementing solutions. The author emphasizes effectiveness of supplying schemes and critical analysis, making schemes by students at individual and group work. It is concluded that schematization is taken as an effective method of teaching philosophy to students with non-philosophy majors.

  • Innovative Potential of Photobook Format in Ethnocultural Communication

    Abstract:
    The features of such a widely used format as a photo book in the context of visual ethnography were reviewed in the article. It is noted that the photobook is studied as a tool for creating visual ethnographic materials that allow to conduct a research on modern cultures and ethnic groups to form a cultural identity. Methods. As the subject of analysis, modern photobooks created by the photographer from Japan Ikuru Kuwajima were selected. Results. The potential of the photobook as an author's work is revealed and its communicative potential in ethnocultural interaction is described. An ethno-photo book is defined as a format of visual communication in which each photograph has an ethnical meaning, which contributes to the creation of author's photo narration, as a specific form of reflection of an ethnos, with a representation of ethnic images. The special functions of the ethno-photo book, which are realized upon activation of the author’s principle, are highlighted: the search for their own identity; pictorial (plot) narrative about an ethnic group; creating the integrity of ethno-narration; increment of information about the ethnic group; ethnos research by means of a photo image; details of the ethnic world view; preservation of ethnic pictures of the world; comprehending the culture of another. It has been determined that a modern photo book is distinguished by documentary content and multimedia features that give its content traits of pragmatism and streaming. An ethno-photo book is manifested as a meaningful substantial work in which the author narrates a pictorial story about an ethnos through photographs, creating a holistic artistic and semantic image of the ethnos. It is concluded that all this contributes to a special emphasis of the reader on certain elements of the ethnographic image and contributes to the creation of new information about the ethnos. It is mentioned that one of the varieties of photobooks is the author's photobook, as an in-depth study of oneself in the context of the ethnicity of the territories reflected in the photo-chronicles of the photographer.

    Abstract:
    The main aspects of the interrelation of illustrating the text and methods of their perception are revealed in the article. For a more convincing and full-fledged visualization of a literary work, a comprehensive and in-depth study of episodes of the text is necessary. The purpose of the article is to identify the interrelation between the visual arts and philology – the methods and form of studying a literary work for its further illustration. In connection with this the following tasks were set out: 1) to identify the main methods and ways of a literary work perception; 2) to analyze and compare specific ways of illustration; 3) identify the features of book design creation. The following features of illustration were revealed during the study: its interrelation with the text, functions of replenishment and explanations, the influence of visual perception, integrity and semantic logic of creating drawings for text, taking into account the purpose of illustration (age, scientific character, visibility, etc.), the use of appropriate technology of illustration.

  • Visual Modeling as a Means of Teaching Creative Storytelling to Senior Preschoolers with Severe Speech Impairments

    Abstract:
    The article is specifically concerned with the fact that the search for new ways of improving corrective logopedic work with children diagnosed with severe speech disorders is directly associated with changes in the requirements concerning the content of preschool education. Today, the corrective work aimed at addressing emerging or existing impairments of speech and its grammatical structure, as well as phonemic hearing is prioritized in the Russian logopedics, being the most well-developed. The aim of this study is to establish the theoretical basis for the research problem and to develop a course of logopedic classes using visual modeling for developing creative storytelling skills in senior preschoolers with severe speech impairments. The following methods have been used in the study: analysis of literature on the research subject, experiments, methods used in mathematical statistics, qualitative and quantitative methods of processing the experimental findings, observation. It can be concluded that creating motivating communication associated with creative activity or a visual situation creates conditions for children’s independent will to speak out and share their opinion. Developing creative storytelling skills in children of senior preschool age with severe speech disorders presents great difficulties. Creative storytelling is an effective means of speech development. The method of visual simulation can be used when working on all types of coherent expression, in particular, this applies to creative storytelling. In the course of visual modeling children will become familiar with graphic ways of presenting information: images of outlined objects with a minimal amount of details, symbolic images of objects, plans and symbols used in them.

  • Application of Game Learning Situations in Development of Communication Skills in Preschoolers with Visual Impairment

    Abstract:
    The article presents a study of application of game learning situations in the development of communication skills in preschoolers with visual impairment. The technique of applying game learning situations in work with preschoolers is outlined in the article. The purpose of the article is to consider the influence of game learning situations on over-fives in the educational process. Methods. The study was conducted from December 2018 to May 2019 on the basis of MBPEI «Kindergarten of combined type «Zhuravlik» of city Abakan. The following methods were applied: observation, conversation with teachers, the method «Study of communicative skills» (author-compiler is V. Bogomolov), pedagogical experiment with the inclusion of game learning situations. Result. The comparative characteristic of results of ascertain and control research stages of communicative skills development level in over-fives is presented. During the work with children and observation of their behavior in various activities, it was noticed that many children use positive behavior scenarios, have become more respectful to each other and adults, the frequency of conflicts in the group has become noticeably less. Children have become more sociable, get in touch with others easier, use various techniques to get out of conflict situations. It is concluded that application of learning situations for the communication skills development in over-fives with visual impairments led to positive results.

    Vision is the most powerful source of information about the outside world. 85-90% of information enters the brain through the visual analyzer, and partial or deep violation of its functions causes a number of deviations in the physical and mental development of the child. The visual analyzer provides the implementation of complex visual functions. It is customary to distinguish five basic visual functions: 1) central vision; 2) peripheral vision; 3) binocular vision; 4) light sensation; 5) color perception. In the process of adaptive physical education, special tasks are carried out that have correctional, compensatory, preventive, and, if necessary, therapeutic and restorative orientation.
