the article presents a theoretical analysis of the relationship between self-consciousness and interpersonal communication in adolescence. The main approaches to self-consciousness and its structure are considered. The features of adolescent communication are analyzed: the importance of the reference group, intimate-personal character. A two-way relationship is substantiated: the development of self-consciousness occurs through the mechanisms of social perception and feedback in communication, while the formed self-concept determines the style of communication.
