- Abstract:
- This paper looks at project-based learning (PBL) and how it works in IT higher education today. The main question we tried to answer is whether doing real projects actually helps students become better professionals — not just better exam-takers. We go through the theory behind PBL, look at why it has become so relevant given current industry trends, and build a practical competency framework based on what the literature says. We also talk honestly about what makes PBL hard to implement, because in our view those challenges are just as important as the benefits. The short answer is: yes, PBL works — but only when it is set up properly and connected to real industry needs.

Transformation of physical education in higher education for the formation of environmental responsibility and commitment to a healthy lifestyle
Book Chapter
Modern issues of pedagogy and psychology: theoretical and methodological approaches and practical re-search results- Author:
- Ekaterina G. Saiganova
- Work direction:
- Глава 8
- Abstract:
- This chapter examines the transformation of the physical education system in higher education in the context of global sustainable development goals and national priorities of the Russian Federation. It notes the limitations of traditional models of physical education classes, which are primarily implemented indoors and do not utilize the potential of interaction with the natural environment to develop students' environmental awareness. The aim of the study is to theoretically substantiate and empirically test the effectiveness of an innovative model of physical education that integrates the principles of sustainable development. The author's model shifts emphasis from a normative approach to the development of a holistic, environmentally oriented worldview, where concern for personal health is inextricably linked with concern for the environment. The methodological framework consists of an analysis of modern pedagogical approaches (the concept of «green» education, the theory of cumulative environmental risks, research on the ecological self-concept of individuals) and data from cross-sectional studies. The study involved 210 first- and second-year students, divided into control and experimental groups. The experimental group participated in a semester-long program developed by the author, which included regular outdoor training sessions (outdoor training differentiated by environmental conditions), theoretical lectures on the impact of environmental factors on health, and campus improvement projects. The results showed statistically significant improvements in physical fitness (endurance +14.3%, speed-strength +11.8%), mental well-being (+15.2%), and a significant increase in environmental responsibility (+40.7%). A direct correlation was found between program participation and commitment to a healthy lifestyle (r=0.782). A block model for transforming physical education is proposed, including target-based, content-based, organizational-activity-based, and evaluative-performance components. The practical significance of the work lies in the development of scientifically based recommendations for the implementation of adaptive, environmentally oriented physical education programs in the curricula of universities, which contributes to the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 3: Good health and well-being; SDG 4: Quality education; SDG 13: Climate action) and the implementation of the National Security Strategy of the Russian Federation.

Research Article
Development of education Volume 9 No 1- Author:
- Anna I. Rybakova
- Work direction:
- Pedagogy and Modern Education
- Abstract:
- The modern education system sets specific requirements for the personality of a future university graduate. In particular, a student should be able to manage their own time and create their own self-development path based on educational principles. Self-reflection is an important aspect of personal development. It reflects the brain's ability to observe its own thought processes, allows to realize the motivations its actions and to evaluating its own activity in order to make the necessary adjustments. Currently, many scientists are talking about the problem of information overload, which is caused by the digitalization of public life and leads to cognitive and regulatory disorders among young people. This work is devoted to the identification of possible means of developing self-reflection skills among university students in the process their mathematics education. An analysis and generalization of the literature on the topic under consideration lead to the conclusion that there is an insufficient representation in the educational space of methodological tools for developing self-reflection among university students. The pedagogical experiment revealed that the electronic self-observation diary developed based on the existing conclusion is an effective means of developing self-reflection skills among students studying mathematics. The organized scientific research has identified a number of issues that require further study.

Acmeological Model of Physical Education in Higher Education
Research Article
Development of education Volume 9 No 1- Author:
- Ekaterina G. Saiganova
- Work direction:
- Pedagogy and Modern Education
- Abstract:
- This article examines the issue of improving the physical education system for university students in the context of developing competitive and well-rounded professionals. The objective of the study is to theoretically substantiate and develop an acmeological model of physical education in higher education, aimed at enabling students to achieve excellence (acme) not only in physical performance but also in personal and professional development. The relevance of this work stems from the need to shift from the traditional, norm-oriented paradigm of physical education to a personal-activity-based, integrative model that ensures students' agency in the process of physical self-improvement. The theoretical analysis and pedagogical modeling utilized systemic, acmeological, and competency-based approaches. The study resulted in a structural and functional model, the core of which is the student as an active agent, purposefully moving toward an individual "acme" through the unity of motivational-value, operational-activity, reflexive-regulatory, and social-adaptive components. The model is structured in stages (adaptive, productive, and reflexive-creative stages) and is implemented through specific pedagogical conditions. It is concluded that the implementation of the acmeological model fosters a sustainable need for students to engage in physical education as an integral part of their future professional activities and personal lifestyle, which ultimately improves their quality of life and professional fulfillment.

Development of the Russian socio-economic system: challenges and prospects- Authors:
- Ramazan M. Ligidov, Zalina K. Shadova
- Work direction:
- Глава 8
- Abstract:
- For a long time, the term "brand" has been used in the fields of business, marketing, and advertising to distinguish products offered by unique sellers. In modern conditions of a society focused on individualization, consumers make decisions about choosing products based on their preferences, desires and level of loyalty to a particular brand, which is often a consequence of the excellent quality of the products offered. In this context, higher education institutions can be likened to commercial products, since their main activity and product is the educational process. This chapter highlights the importance of branding for higher education institutions (HEIs). The authors carefully analyze the factors contributing to the establishment of educational institutions as brands, as well as outline the key principles of brand development and the sequential steps leading to effective branding. In addition, a branding model is proposed that is specially adapted for higher education institutions, which can serve as a basis for their further development and strengthening their positions in the educational market.

Digital technologies as a tool for training competitive university graduates in the context of the transformation of the modern labor market
Book Chapter
Current issues of pedagogy and psychology- Author:
- Dmitry A. Konoplyansky
- Work direction:
- Глава 2
- Abstract:
- In today's digitalized world, staffing is becoming the fundamental basis for effective transformation. Global digital transformation processes permeate all aspects of socio-economic development. A new type of specialist in demand in the labor market must meet the criteria that are formed in the context of national projects being implemented in the country – he is a creative professional who makes responsible decisions and creates a positive image not only of his profession, but also of the organization and the state as a whole. In the context of the transformation of the modern labor market, digital technologies are becoming the most important tool for training competitive university graduates. The chapter is devoted to the interpretation of the concept of «digital technologies in education», the disclosure of their essence and structural components. Digital technologies have advantages over traditional educational technologies: access to a variety of resources and tools, adaptability and personalized learning, as well as the development of digital skills needed in today's labor market. However, the introduction of digital technologies into the educational process is associated with a number of challenges, such as the need to ensure digital literacy among teachers and students, infrastructure development, and data protection. The influence of digital technologies on the formation of graduates' competitive abilities is manifested in their ability to effectively adapt to changing labor market conditions, meet employers' requirements and develop personal qualities, including critical thinking, creativity and readiness for continuous learning. The integration of digital technologies into the educational environment of a university requires a strategic approach focused on the development of a specialist's personality, the needs of the modern labor market and the requirements of potential employers.
