  • The influence of bilingualism on the development of coherent speech and thinking in preschool children

    В статье рассматривается влияние билингвизма на развитие связной речи и мышления детей дошкольного возраста. На основании анализа современных исследований выявлено, что владение двумя языками способствует улучшению когнитивных функций, таких как внимание, память и умение переключаться между задачами. Билингвальные дети демонстрируют более структурированную и развернутую связную речь, что связано с расширением лексического запаса и лучшим пониманием языковых структур. Особое внимание уделяется аспектам билингвизма, которые стимулируют развитие коммуникативных навыков и толерантности. Результаты подчеркивают важность раннего и корректного педагогического сопровождения детей с билингвальной речевой средой для максимального раскрытия их потенциала в области речи и мышления.

  • The ontology of the formation of state bilingualism in the Republic of Belarus by the end of the 20th century

    Abstract:
    The work is devoted to the description of the language situation in the Republic of Belarus. The author studies the status and functions of the Belarusian language in the lands that were historically part of several states and are currently Belarusian territory. The aim of the work is to establish the factors that determined the return to state bilingualism following a short period of using the Belarusian language as the only state language. The study is based on the analysis of published documents devoted to the description of the language situation, as well as the language policy pursued in the Republic of Belarus, starting from the 9th to the 20th centuries. The study is of a review nature. The following should be recognized as the main factors underlying the modern language situation in the country: a long time of the Belarusian language being in a diglossal distribution with more functionally developed languages; close relationship of the Russian and Belarusian languages; stigmatization of a mixed version of these languages; the inclusion of the territory of modern Belarus into the Russian Empire and the USSR; a more prestigious status for the Russian language in the world; the functioning of the Belarusian language as a symbol of ethnic identification of Belarusians, but not as a means of communication.

    Abstract:
    The article deals with the introduction of sign language into the educational process and its influence on the development of cognitive abilities. It is established that limitation in the use of sign language at school leads to the deterioration of the quality of education. The results of the analysis of literary sources and practical cases of using sign language in the educational process testify to the increase of positively influence the development of their cognitive abilities.

Подчеркивается, что воспитание и обучение детей данной категории предполагает участие специалистов различного профиля: воспитателей, учителей, логопедов, социальных педагогов, однако не умаляет значимость в решении этой задачи семьи и, в частности, родителей.

Автор описывает основные характеристики детей-билингвов, обучающихся в Российско-таджикской школе в городе Бохтаре, и приводит список наиболее острых проблем, которые возникают при работе с данной группой детей. В статье приводятся методы и приемы обучения, которые используются автором на уроках английского языка, способствующие качественному усвоению иностранного языка.

    Abstract:
    The establishment of the Soviet power on the territory of the Russian empire led to a new system of values, activation of the population in all fields of the social life. In the sphere of museum building in the 1920s a noticeable role was played by such public scientific and educational associations as the Society for the Study of the Local Territory in Cheboksary (1921-1931) and the Society for the Study of Chuvash Culture in Moscow (1927-1931). The main aim of the article is to reveal the history of the formation and work of these organizations. The material is presented chronologically. Having established close contacts with scientific institutions throughout Russia and with famous scientists, the local history organizations with a wide network of branches and cells promoted an in-depth study and development of the economy and culture of the Chuvash region and the spiritual culture of the Chuvash, half of whose population lived outside the territory of the autonomy. The special attention these societies paid to the development of the native language and culture of the Chuvash people that allowed the Chuvash people to realize their national identity. During the first decade of the Chuvash Soviet autonomy some successes in the formation of local lore as a science were achieved. On the territory of Chuvashia local history institutions and organizations made a significant contribution to the study of nature, economy, productive forces of the region, as well as the spiritual life of the people. In this period it was the Society for the Study of the Local Territory in Cheboksary and the Society for the Study of Chuvash Culture in Moscow that promoted the preservation and development of the Chuvash language.
