  • P.F. Lesgaft's Concept of Physical Education as a Basis for the Psychology of Corporeality and the Formation of the "Self-Concept"

    Abstract:
    This article presents a theoretical analysis of P.F. Lesgaft's concept of physical education as a basis for the psychology of corporeality and the formation of the "self-concept". The appeal to his concept is motivated by the potential of his scientific legacy. The purpose is to identify and theoretically substantiate the potential of Lesgaft's concept as a methodological basis for modern psychology of corporeality. The objectives are to analyze approaches to "corporeality" and the "physical I" in light of modern research. The primary research method was an analysis of Lesgaft's scientific legacy and works by contemporary scholars. His ideas form a holistic anthropological model, in which the physical "I" serves as the central element of the "self-concept." The analysis demonstrates a direct correspondence between his views and the modern interpretation of corporeality: his description of the relationship between thought, action, and character structurally corresponds to the three-component model of the "physical self," including cognitive, affective, and behavioral components. Lesgaft revealed the substantive content of the stages of corporeality development – from the stage of psychosomatic identity through the acquisition of conscious control to age-related regression. This dynamic model demonstrates corporeality as an evolving process inextricably linked to personality development.

    В статье рассматриваются основные методологические подходы для изучения особенностей динамики развития Я-концепции студента, анализируются ее структурные компоненты и их содержательные характеристики, которые в процессе непрерывного самоизменения обеспечивают успешность личностного развития. Научные теории современной психологии указывают на то, что с помощью Я-концепции личность достигает свой уникальности и неповторимости, проявляясь субъективной траекторией личностного развития. Велика роль Я-концепция в студенческие годы, именно на этом возрастном этапе формируется психологическая уравновешенность и эмоциональная устойчивость к окружающей действительности, субъективному проектированию своей жизнедеятельности.

    Abstract:
    The article addresses the pressing issue of skilled labor shortage in the metallurgical industry, caused by workforce aging and declining youth interest in industrial professions. An innovative approach to training future metallurgists is proposed through the introduction of the course "Formation of Professional Self-Awareness of the Future Metallurgist," based on the author's "Self-Awareness Development System." Particular emphasis is placed on developing personal maturity, conscious career choice, and a stable professional self-concept among students. To address workforce attrition, the retraining of older specialists via the "Instructor of Special Additional Education Courses" program is also proposed, fostering intergenerational knowledge transfer. The implementation of these initiatives could enhance the attractiveness of the profession, strengthen education-industry collaboration, and ensure sustainable development of the metallurgical sector

  • Congruent and incongruent self-concept of students in different types of communication

    Abstract:
    The purpose of the article is to identify the influence of the stability of the self-concept and different types of communication on the communicative tactics of interpersonal interaction, represented in the speech act. The hypothesis states that incongruence/congruence of self-concept determines the choice of speech act of the person in the process of cognition; the type of self-concept system that affects relationships with people is reflected in the speech act. Speech act, according to the concept of contextual education, is a unit of communication, the basis of activity and social interaction. The article presents the results of empirical research, in which 333 first-year students of two universities of Yekaterinburg participated. J. Kelly's repertory grid technique was used in the study. Personality constructs, which are obtained in the study, are constructed on the basis of bipolar differences. Personal constructs allowed us to identify the type of communication that affects the relationship with people; they allow us to evaluate the self-concept of first-year university students; self-esteem, assessment of significant others, real self and ideal self-presented in the constructs give an idea of the stability of the self-concept and the presence of cognitive conflicts caused by personal characteristics. Based on the analysis of role preferences in repertoire lattices and the distribution of the real self and the ideal self by type of communication, the levels of stability of the self-concept and the basic characteristics of a speech act are described, such as the nature of one’s own message, the correspondence of what is communicated and what is experienced, one’s position and role in communication, type of speech behavior, giving another person a role in communication. Theoretical significance – a tool is proposed for determining the level of stability of the self-concept, which, in unity with the type of communication, influences the nature of the speech act of a first-year student. Practical significance – determining the individual characteristics of a speech act will allow us to identify the level of formation of self-awareness of the subject of cognition, which will contribute to the creation of psychological and pedagogical conditions aimed at identifying the adaptive potential of first-year students at the initial stage of professionalization (initiation).

    В статье показано, что задержка психического развития оказывает влияние не только на формирование высших психических функций (мышление, внимание, восприятие, память, речь) у детей, но и на их личностное развитие. Задержка психического развития как стойкое психопатологическое проявление искажает процесс становления важного элемента психологического облика личности, а именно Я-концепции, когнитивным компонентом которой является образ «Я», особенности развития которого выступают предметом представленного в статье исследования. Известно, что период младшего школьного детства является сенситивным для развития «Я» в связи с характерными психическими новообразованиями: появление произвольности и осознанности деятельности, развитие самопознания, личностной и интеллектуальной рефлексии как способности осознавать и оценивать собственные возможности, тенденция к расширению сферы «Я» в связи с появлением новой социальной роли «ученик». Автор, опираясь на теоретические основы, эмпирическим путем выявляет проблемные особенности в становлении образа «Я» у младших школьников с задержкой психического развития, требующие коррекционного вмешательства, и на их основе формирует задачи для занятий по психологической коррекции.

    В статье рассматриваются и анализируются психологические особенности детей, проблемы и последствия материнской депривации на всестороннее развитие подрастающего поколения. Установлено, что нарушения развития у депривированного ребенка происходят на четырех уровнях – сенсорном, когнитивном, эмоциональном, социальном. Искажение течения развития «Я-концепции» у детей, выросших в условиях депривации, составляющей ядро личностного становления, нарушает всю систему их отношений с другими людьми.

    The article deals with the study of the dynamics of the formation of the "I" image in primary school children with mental retardation. As a result of the author's empirical study of the features of the formation of the "I" image of younger schoolchildren, it was revealed that their "I" image is characterized by cognitive simplicity, weak differentiation, low hierarchization, insufficient degree of clarity and consistency, incompleteness, as well as an insufficiently high level of self-esteem. By the dynamics of the formation of the "I" in this article, the author means both differences in the features of the image of the "I" of the 1st and 3rd grade subjects representing 2 experimental groups of the study, and a comparison of the features of the "I" of younger schoolchildren before and after the implementation of measures for psychological correction.
