    The purpose of the article is to consider the views and assessments on the issues of social education of one of the prominent representatives of the Russian scientific and pedagogical community N.N. Iordansky, to trace their connection with the present. Research material. Scientific and pedagogical works of N.N. Iordansky became the material for the research. Research results and conclusions. One of the main directions of scientific and pedagogical activity of N.N. Iordansky was the issues of social education. The ideas and recommendations formulated by him were aimed at preparing a thinking and practically oriented graduate at school, capable and striving to independently acquire knowledge, determine his place in life and who is ready to successfully move along the intended path.   • Problems and Perspectives of Distance Learning in Modern Schools

    Abstract:
    The purpose of the article is to give recommendations on the organization of distance learning at school, identifying the main problems and prospects for its use in the educational process. Methods of research. During the study, the analysis of distance learning was carried out. The field of its application is defined, assessment of the advantages and disadvantages of this form of learning is presented, the basic means of interaction in the online environment in distance learning are revealed, the most effective teaching methods in distance learning are pointed out. Based on the results of the study, conclusions were made about the specifics of distance learning. The author emphasizes that the main advantages of distance learning as following: an individual approach, the ability to maintain constant feedback between the teacher and the pupil, the lack of strict control as an incentive to free creative activity of pupils. The main disadvantage of distance learning is the lack of direct communication between the teacher and peers. It is also concluded that it is necessary to use collective methods of distance learning in order to overcome the deficit of emotional communication. The most effective methods of distance learning are those that are focused on independent work and creative search. It is noted that further prospects of distance learning development associated with number of following conditions: holding stage of the preparatory work for the adaptation of educational material, acquisition of information technologies and increase of the level of computer skills and choosing the optimal teaching methods for distance learning process.

  • Model of Methodological Educational Support of Etiquette Behavior Skills Formation in Senior Preschoolers in the Conditions of Preschool Educational Institution and Family

    Abstract:
    The article is devoted to the organization of educational work on the etiquette behavior skills formation in senior preschoolers, which is aimed at awareness and implementation of children's etiquette norms (appearance, table etiquette, speech etiquette, behavior in public places), contributing to the favorable entry of preschoolers into society and successful interaction with people surrounding them. The purpose of the article is to consider the model of methodological educational support of etiquette behavior skills formation in senior preschoolers in the conditions of preschool educational institution and family. Methods. A pedagogical experiment, in which 56 children of six years of the preschool educational institution №51 «Zorenka» of the city Khimki, Moscow Region took part, was conducted. Parents were also surveyed for interest in the etiquette behavior skills formation in children. Research results. In the course of the study, the average level of etiquette behavior skills formation in children was observed. The survey of parents showed little interest in etiquette behavior skills formation in children. For the purpose of successful formation of etiquette behavior skills in senior preschoolers in the conditions of preschool educational institution and a family the program of methodical support was organized. Conclusion. Repeated diagnostics of the level of etiquette behavior skills formation in senior preschoolers revealed a more pronounced positive dynamics in the level of etiquette behavior skills formation in children.
