Abstract

Comprehending and understanding a language is necessary when students are learning a new language due to the fact that people always need to communicate and interact with others in different spheres, in scientific one as well. Young scientists should be able not only to translate scientific texts, but also to be able to communicate with international colleagues, as in the XXI century science has become global, and English is the language that unites it. The article reviews some options for practicing oral scientific speaking skills in the modern world using information technologies, for example using the application for a Smartphone, «Wakie’. Proved is that the app mentioned increases students’ oral scientific speech skills along with other forms of work on a language.
