  • On the Specifics of the Besermyan Vocabulary in «Materials for a comparative Dictionary...» by P. M. Sorokin: Turkic Borrowings

    Abstract:
    Written records play an important role in the study of language history, linguistic phenomena, and their dynamics. They are particularly significant for the language of the Besermyans, a compact group living in the northwest of the Udmurt Republic. The language of this small people only received the status of an independent idiom in 2022. The manuscript "Materials for a Comparative Dictionary of the Zyuzdin Permyak and Glazov Votian Dialects and the Besermyan Dialect" is currently one of the few early written records containing a significant amount of Besermyan material. The aim of this study is to identify Besermyan words of Turkic origin in this manuscript and analyze their origin and territorial distribution. The study utilizes descriptive and etymological methods. During the study of the dictionary's vocabulary, words of Turkic origin were selected, which are unique or predominantly found in the Besermyan language. Most of them are Tatarisms borrowed in the northern territory of what is now the Kirov Oblast and the Udmurt Republic, indicating close Besermyan-Turkic contacts in this region. The list includes only two Bulgarisms and one Chuvashism. Further analysis of the dictionary's features will allow us to determine its precise dialectal base.

Определены преимущества и недостатки текущей долговой политики региона. При написании статьи использовались методы анализа и синтеза, сравнительный метод, метод горизонтального и вертикального анализа.

    В статье рассматривается роль заимствований, особенно англицизмов, в развитии современного русского языка. Обсуждается, как заимствованные слова отражают культурные и исторические контакты между народами, внося разнообразие в лексический состав русского языка. Анализируются основные механизмы заимствования, такие как адаптация фонетики и грамматической структуры, калькирование смысловых конструкций и сохранение оригинального написания. Приводятся примеры заимствований из различных областей, включая информационные технологии, спорт и культуру. Авторы подчёркивают двойственный характер влияния англицизмов: с одной стороны, они обогащают язык, позволяя более точно и кратко описывать современные реалии, с другой – могут приводить к путанице и снижению ясности для носителей языка, не знакомых с английским. Исследуется, как англицизмы влияют на лексическое, семантическое, синтаксическое и стилистическое развитие русского языка, что порождает важные вопросы о необходимости создания аналогов заимствованных слов и их влиянии на формирование русской культуры.     В статье исследуются основные этапы развития финансовой терминологии в России, начиная с допетровской эпохи и заканчивая современностью. Анализируется влияние заимствований из иностранных языков, адаптация терминологии к российским реалиям и её роль в развитии и функционировании финансовых институтов. Особое внимание уделяется периодам реформ, когда происходили наиболее значительные изменения в финансовой системе и, соответственно, в финансовой терминологии. Исследуется влияние глобализации и цифровизации на современную финансовую лексику и её дальнейшую эволюцию. Авторы подчеркивают важность единообразного и точного использования финансовой терминологии для эффективного функционирования финансового рынка и снижения рисков, связанных с его развитием.

    Abstract:
    The work is devoted to the analysis of Bosnian phraseological units with orientalism – the name of a sweet dish. The purpose of the article is to show the phraseological potential of borrowings-orientalisms naming sweets in the phraseology corpus of Bosnian Muslims. The relevance of the work is due to the need for a comprehensive study of phraseological units to identify common and idioethnic. The role of orientalisms in creating the imagery of phrasemes is shown in terms of ethnolinguoculturology. The material of the study is non-comparative phrasemes existing in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Methods of material processing: component analysis; linguoculturological analysis; structural and semantic modeling; comparative and synchronous descriptive. Structural and semantic models illustrate the interlanguage commonality of motivational ideas and at the same time specific, revealed at the level of imagery of phraseology. The research material shows a different phraseological potential of the names of sweet confectionery products of oriental origin. Arabisms and Persiisms as part of phraseological units are «indirect» borrowing: they entered of the inhabitants of Bosnia and Herzegovina through Turkish; they, like Ottomans, are more frequent in Bosnian phrasemes due to various historical and relevant reasons today. Some of the analyzed phrases are recorded by lexicographic sources and in other regions of Southern Slavia, but the activity of their use in live colloquial speech is typical precisely for the language of the inhabitants of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who have the so-called Bosnian Turkish.

  • The Tatar layer of words in the system of kinship terms of the Besermans

    Abstract:
    The purpose of this study is to identify and systematize the terms of kinship of Tatar origin in the Beserman dialect. The terms of kinship in the Udmurt language are relatively well studied. However, the terminology of Tatar origin as a separate lexico-semantic layer has not previously been considered in publications. Meanwhile, the study of such vocabulary can help shed light on the problems of the ethnogenesis of the Besermans, which is very important. This study was carried out mainly on the basis of T. I. Teplyashina’s monograph “The Language of the Besermans” and her field notes. The goals were achieved using descriptive and statistical methods, as well as the method of etymological analysis. Thirty-two Beserman terms of Tatar origin were identified and systematized, which allowed a new look at Besermian-Tatar contacts. In one of the periods, Besermans and Tatars had very close relationships up to interethnic marriages. The presence of special terms denoting the relatives of the husband among the Besermans, which are absent in other Udmurt dialects but correspond to the terms of the Chepetsk Tatars, may indicate that not only Besermian women married Tatars, but also Tatar women married Beserman men.

    The scientific and technological progress of the 20th century (book publishing, radio and television broadcasting, cinematography, etc.) created all the possibilities for the rapid transmission and dissemination of not only socially significant, scientific and other information, but also of artistic and aesthetic thought. The purpose of this article is to identify the main factors contributing to artistic borrowing in literary works, and the reasons why similar phenomena (plot, theme, problem, etc.) are identified in literatures that are not in direct contact. The question of the originality of the work of fiction in modern culture becomes relevant, because it is an indicator of the uniqueness of the national philosophy and aesthetics. National literature is not only or not so much the language of narration, but also the problems, characters, conflicts and ways of solving them, typical for a particular people. Certainly, artistic techniques also matter, which are more related to general literary and general cultural phenomena.

  • The Bessermian Holiday Akayashka and Terminology Associated with its Celebration

    The paper is devoted to the traditional Bessermian holiday akayashka associated with the beginning of spring agricultural work. The ritual complex of the holiday lasted for three or four days, and each day had its own name: arafa, akayashka ~ akashka, akayashka kelyan. Relevance. The Udmurt ritual cycle akashka (beserm. akayashka) is described in sufficient detail by researchers of the 19th – early 21st centuries. There have been attempts in recent works to reconstruct the origin and evolution of ritual elements. However, some of the earlier descriptions in similar studies have been left without due attention. The etymologies of some terms related to the celebration of akayashka are not fully disclosed, or they are questionable and need further research or clarification. Conclusion. In this paper, for the first time, the etymologies of the words cholpan (a mallet used to beat on wood to exorcise evil spirits on the first day of the celebration of akayashka) and argar (a rite on the eve of Akayashka with a request from the Almighty God for a harvest) are revealed; the reason for the creation of the name of the rite burdo shөd ‘winged soup’, the analogues of which are absent in Udmurt dialects, is defined; the reasons for the difference in the celebration of the rites of the akayashka ~ akashka ~ gershyd cycle, which have the same source of origin, are also specified.

    В статье анализируются особенности современного процесса заимствования, указывается на наличие большого числа англицизмов в русском языке. Приводятся примеры из созданного автором Словаря англицизмов русского языка, изучаются особенности их функционирования в языке-доноре. Отмечается высокая скорость проникновения английских единиц в систему русского языка, окказиональность некоторых единиц, их недолгое функционирование в языке-реципиенте. Говорится о необходимости инварианта в графемном оформлении англицизмов, об их неправомерном использовании в речевом общении, что затрудняет процесс коммуникации. Одновременно указывается на необходимость процесса заимствования как средства обогащения и эволюции языка.
