- The article is devoted to the problem of diagnostics and identification of children's giftedness which is the most relevant today for most specialists. It is pointed out that this is due to many reasons, such as the psychological characteristics of a child, insufficient competence of specialists, and a variety of types of giftedness. Identification of gifted children is a long process associated with the analysis of the development of a particular child, which involves not only teachers and specialists, but also child's parents.

- Social design is considered as the basis for professional growth of a social work graduate. In this article, the importance of project activities in the current standard as a universal competence of a social work specialist is demonstrated. Based on the specifics of social work, a project is defined as an author’s version of solving a social issue. The topics of students’ projects based on the results of social diagnostics in an evolving society are presented. The features of social modeling in social design are considered. On the example of the Moscow region, the possibilities of forming an innovative education strategy in which design acts as a tool for social development are shown.
