Annotation
The article examines current approaches to the education and upbringing of young and preschool children in Russian and international practice. Special attention is paid to play-based learning, a developing educational environment, cooperation with families, inclusive education, and children’s social and emotional development. Based on the analysis of regulatory documents, scientific publications, and materials of international organizations, the article identifies the main conditions for effective preschool education.
