- Abstract:
- This article analyzes Catherine II's pedagogical tales—"The Tale of Prince Chlorus" and "The Tale of Prince Fevey"—as tools for shaping the personality of the future enlightened monarch. A connection is established between the political philosophy of enlightened absolutism, outlined in the "Instruction" of the Legislative Commission, and the educational principles laid out in these tales for the Grand Dukes Alexander Pavlovich and Konstantin Pavlovich. A comparative analysis of the texts of the "Instruction" and the tales allows us to conclude that the latter convey key ideas of autocracy and class hierarchy, as well as the concept of "moral equality."

- Pedagogy and Modern Education
- Abstract:
- The aim of this article is to examine the specific features of organizing students' independent work in a modern university, using Mari State University as a case study. The relevance of the research is justified by contemporary requirements for the structure of curricula and the forms of organizing educational activities in higher education. The paper presents practical materials on the organization of students' independent work within the framework of the discipline “Technologies of Interaction between Participants in Educational Relations”, which is included in the master's degree curriculum. The research materials comprised an analysis of psychological and pedagogical literature and the results of the author's survey of students. The case study reveals the essence of the concept of “independent work” in the context of the requirements of regulatory frameworks governing the educational process and the current conditions for the implementation of educational programs. The author emphasizes the role of the teacher in organizing students' cognitive activities and substantiates the importance of monitoring and assessment on the part of the instructor. The article provides a fragment of the thematic planning of independent work, specifying the task formulations and the forms of reporting the results of students' independent mastery of the course material. - Work direction:
- Reviews and Critiques
- Abstract:
- The aim of this review is to analyze current trends in the development of legal clinics in the Russian Federation (2023–2026), identify key operational challenges, and assess their contribution to the training of future lawyers. The material comprises scholarly publications from 2023–2026, regulatory acts, and analytical reviews on practice-oriented legal education and the system of free legal assistance. The methodological framework is based on systemic and content analysis of scholarly literature, comparison of empirical data, and comparative analysis of pedagogical models. The results indicate the steady institutionalization of clinics, active digitalization, and expansion of specialized areas, while also revealing a lack of uniformity, unstable funding, and a shortage of qualified supervisors. The contribution of clinics to legal training is manifested in the development of practical professional competencies, communicative and legal literacy, ethical responsibility, and the civic stance of students. Based on the analysis, the following recommendations are proposed: integration of legal clinics into the Federal State Educational Standards, development of a unified digital platform, introduction of AI assistants and LegalTech, standardization of supervisors' workloads, an interdisciplinary approach, specialization of clinics, institutional partnerships, and others. The practical significance of the study lies in synthesizing scholarly perspectives and formulating recommendations for universities and educational authorities. The theoretical significance consists in developing the author's comprehensive model for evaluating the performance of legal clinics.

- Work direction:
- Глава 15
- Abstract:
- The chapter addresses the problem of creating a modern integrative model for teaching foreign language professional communication, taking into account the requirements of professionalization and specialization. Teaching professional communication is considered as an independent area in the methodology of teaching Russian as a foreign language. The article presents a theoretical justification of the proposed model, characterized by phasing and staging of instruction (in accordance with the Federal State Educational Standard) and level-based content (bachelor's degree, language proficiency levels B1-C1). Modern approaches to modeling the process of teaching professional communication are considered as a synthesis of conceptual provisions of pedagogical and linguodidactic paradigms. The results of linguistic research on metalanguages of various types of professional discourse for educational purposes are clarified. The basic components of the didactic support of the model are identified, and the pedagogical tools for its implementation are characterized. The content of the diagnostic system for assessing the level of communicative competence formation is defined. A system for diagnosing the effectiveness of professional communication language proficiency is proposed, specifying invariant tasks for levels B1-C1. Theoretical methods, content analysis, continuous sampling method, and statistical methods were applied.

- Abstract:
- The chapter analyzes the results of the research of life satisfaction and level of empathy of students of medical universities. The methodological approaches of foreign and Russian researchers to the problems associated with low life satisfaction and insufficient formation of empathic abilities in future doctors are characterized. The conclusion is made about a decrease in the level of empathy among students of medical universities in the process of study and clinical practice. It is noted that the average values for all components of the empathy scale used are higher among female respondents, as well as the average values on the life satisfaction scale. It is emphasized that within the framework of theoretical and practical training of students of medical universities, it is advisable to pay more attention, including by increasing the volume of classroom work with students, to teaching psychological, pedagogical and communication disciplines aimed at developing empathic abilities.
