Based on theoretical analysis and empirical data, the article reveals the deprivation mechanisms that hinder the successful development of this phenomenon in institutional settings. The article substantiates the thesis that a family environment rich in emotional connections and stable interactions creates unique prerequisites for the development of a child's social intelligence that cannot be replicated in an orphanage.
