    Abstract:
    This article explores the life and work of Cecilia Ivanovna Depner, a key figure in the history of private education for girls in the Voronezh province. It examines Depner's biography, the circumstances of the founding and operation of her boarding school (1829–1870), its curriculum, and educational system. It also examines the school's place among other private educational institutions for girls in Voronezh from the 1820s to the 1850s, and analyzes the reasons for its longevity and high reputation. It concludes that Ts.I. Depner's boarding school became a significant phenomenon in the region's system of girls' education, largely compensating for the lack of state-run girls' gymnasiums in the first half of the 19th century and creating an educational environment in demand by several generations of Voronezh families.

    Abstract:
    The article analyzes Russia's transition to inclusive education (61% of children with disabilities attend regular schools and combined kindergartens). The authors pay special attention to the training of preschool teachers. They highlight both the positive effects of children's combined attendance in kindergartens and the barriers, such as teachers' fear, parents' concealment of diagnoses, and children's isolation. The article proposes methods to overcome these challenges through staff training, family support, and play-based tolerance training.

  • Ethnic Identity of Primary School Students from Tuvan Families: Research Experience

    Abstract:
    This paper examines the development of ethnic identity in primary school-age children from Tuvan families residing in Kyzyl. Drawing on a theoretical synthesis of various conceptual approaches, the author focuses on the essence and structure of ethnic identity. The study employs M. Kuhn and T. McPartland's “Who Am I?” technique and its adaptation by Russian scholar Z. V. Sikevich. The findings indicate that the ethnic identity of Tuvan primary schoolchildren is in the process of active formation but has not yet become a stable core of self-awareness. Children's self-descriptions are dominated by social roles (family, friends, school) and personal qualities, while ethnic markers are of secondary importance. This is attributable to limited life experience and cognitive immaturity, the predominance of concrete social roles over abstract group belonging, and the weak salience of ethnic themes in everyday life within a homogeneous environment. The study revealed that the majority of children identify as Tuvan and feel a connection to their people, language, and traditions. At the same time, this high level of ethnic self-identification coexists with limited proficiency in their native language, the predominance of Russian in everyday communication, and only a superficial engagement with traditional culture.

    Abstract:
    The chapter presents a pedagogical model for implementing didactic support of the multisensory approach in teaching English to primary school children (Grade 2), aimed at developing their motivational competence. The relevance of the study is determined by the contradiction between the recognized effectiveness of the multisensory approach and the insufficient development of its didactic support with regard to the initial stage of education. The paper describes the structural components of the model (target, theoretical and methodological, content, procedural, methodological, and result-oriented), presents a developed set of ten multisensory exercises, and provides a detailed description of two of them («Rough Letters: Trace and Remember» and «Umbrella: Name and Hide»). Experimental verification confirmed the effectiveness of the developed model: a significant increase in the high level of intrinsic motivation (from 9.5% to 47.6%) and a decrease in the low level (from 61.9% to 14.3%) were recorded in the experimental group. The model can be used by English language teachers and methodologists in the practice of primary language education.

    The chapter substantiates the need to transform formal holidays in preschool institutions into educational events for dialogue between teachers, children, and parents. The relevance is related to the requirements of partnership with the family and support for the child's emotional well-being. The chapter identifies the reasons for the formalization of holidays. It proposes a model for organizing a holiday (target, content, communicative, and reflective components) and the conditions for its effectiveness: voluntary participation, child agency, respect for family experiences, joint activities, and reflection. It is concluded that a holiday in a preschool institution can become not a formal event, but a space for dialogue, if it is based on the principles of voluntariness, the child's subjectivity, respect for family experience, joint activities, and subsequent reflection.

  • Between shame and autonomy: two faces of adolescent vulnerability in the educational environment

    The chapter is devoted to constructing a differentiated analytical model of age-related vulnerability in adolescents within the educational environment for two ontogenetically distinct cohorts: ages 10–13 and 14–18. The author proceeds from the position that a unified interpretation of adolescence is methodologically untenable, since identical behavioral manifestations (irritability, withdrawal, conflict behavior, declining academic performance) may be generated by fundamentally different psychological mechanisms and therefore require differentiated diagnostics. For early adolescence, the concept of «three pillars of stability» is proposed: self-perceived competence, self-regulation, and social status within the peer group, the weakening of which explains typical forms of school maladaptation. For late adolescence, the leading challenge is considered to be the existential task of identity and autonomy formation, intensified by the digital environment of social comparison and cyberbullying. Based on the analysis of Russian and international empirical data (WHO, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, HSE University, VCIOM), a three-level «risk map» of the educational environment has been operationalized, encompassing structural, social, and personal-psychological levels. Current diagnostic practice is also described (ongoing observation, annual screening, in-depth diagnostics), along with the «school ambassador» institution as a mechanism for early identification and referral of adolescents at psychological risk. The study shows that the structural level of the school environment plays a foundational role: the concentration of up to 70% of bullying cases within a limited circle of educational institutions points to the institutional, rather than purely individual-psychological, nature of most risks. The proposed model provides a basis for schools to shift from reactive intervention toward systematic, age-differentiated prevention.

    The chapter addresses the problem of diagnosing mental development in adolescents with uneven academic performance, whose grade point average does not reflect the actual structure of their intelligence. Using a seventh-grade student as a case study, the School Mental Development Test (SMDT) was administered. A distinctly uneven intellectual profile was revealed, which correlated with the student's real-life academic difficulties. The potential of the test for developing targeted remedial recommendations that take into account the strengths and weaknesses of individual students is substantiated.

    The article discusses the problem of preparing students aged 13-14 for indore rowing competitions within the framework of the School Rowing League (SHGL). The relevance of using jump training as a means of developing special endurance and explosive power in schoolchildren is substantiated. The anatomical and physiological features of adolescence that determine the choice of means and methods of training are analyzed. A comparison of the biomechanics of rowing on the Concept2 simulator and jumping movements is presented, and the similarity of working muscle groups is proved. The physiological foundations of jumping training (stretching-contraction cycle, muscle reactivity) and the conditions for its safe use in school sports are revealed. It is concluded that it is advisable to include athletics jumping exercises in the training program for young academic rowers at the stage of initial specialization.

    The article discusses methods and techniques for working on a poem in the 3rd grade, with a focus on meaningful reading. It describes three stages of text analysis (pre-text, text, and post-text) based on the methodology of N. V. Dushkina and the positions of O. V. Zakharova. For each stage, specific techniques are provided (e.g., «true and false statements», «stop-and-go reading», and «thick and thin questions»), and examples of their application are given using poems included in the «School of Russia» program. It is shown how these methods contribute to a deep understanding of lyrical works and meet the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard for Primary General Education.

    The study is devoted to the problem of high school students’ professional self-determination and its dependence on the development of self-consciousness in this age group. The relevance of the study is associated with the fact that, in early adolescence, the self-concept, reflection, life plans, and the ability to make a conscious career choice are being formed; however, many students still experience difficulties related to awareness, planning, and decision-making. Theoretical analysis made it possible to show that self-consciousness acts as a system-forming mechanism of professional maturity, ensuring the alignment of personal abilities, interests, and the demands of the professional sphere.     This article focuses on the organization of professional training for future primary school teachers to foster a sense of patriotism in young students. The authors explore the pedagogical potential of regionally focused educational content. The article also focuses on the specifics of integrating various approaches to the use of historical, cultural-geographical, and folklore-based content into the professional training of future teachers. Based on a theoretical analysis of the scientific works of domestic and foreign researchers, the authors convincingly revealed the relationship between the development of a sense of patriotism in primary school students and the organization of professional training for future primary school teachers, taking into account the introduction of regional content into the educational process. The authors have developed a theoretical model of professional training of future primary school teachers to develop a sense of patriotism in students based on regional characteristics, which presents the features of integrating the regional component into the educational process of future teachers in order to prepare them to develop a sense of patriotism in primary school students.     The chapter substantiates the need to reorient modern education from knowledge transfer to the development of self-consciousness as a key competence of the 21st century. Based on an interdisciplinary synthesis of data from developmental psychology, neuroscience and pedagogical anthropology, the challenges facing the educational system in the era of anthropological transition are analyzed. A pedagogical model for the development of self-consciousness is proposed, including four interconnected levels: bodily, emotional-personal, intellectual-reflexive and value-semantic. Specific pedagogical strategies, methods and exercises for each level are described, taking into account the age characteristics of students. Education is considered as an anthropological practice aimed at the formation of an integral, responsible and creative personality – the subject of own development.

  • The principle of Historicism as a means of motivating students to study geometry in grades 7-9

    The chapter discusses the problem of increasing motivation to study geometry in grades 7–9 through the implementation of the principle of historicism. The relevance is due to a decrease in students' interest in mathematics, the formalization of education and the isolation of the subject from real life. The internal and external motives of learning are highlighted, and it is shown that external reinforcement (marks) can reduce internal motivation. It is noted that the principle of historicism allows us to consider science in aspects of the past, present and future, forming a holistic view of the subject and its practical significance. A system of tasks based on a backbone is proposed. The realization of the principle of historicism promotes a meaningful perception of geometry and an increase in the motivation of students.

  • Experimental test of the effectiveness of motivational tasks in Russian language lessons in grades 5–6

    This chapter presents the results of a pedagogical experiment that tested the effectiveness of a developed system of tasks aimed at increasing students' motivation to learn Russian. The control group studied using traditional methods, while the experimental group incorporated special motivational tasks based on regional language and speech material into their in-class and extracurricular activities. Three methods are described in detail: a “Table of Forbidden Words” (developing speech culture and self-control), a project-based study of a poem by a local author (updating the cultural code), and a translation analysis of a regional text. Quantitative and qualitative results of the initial and final assessments are presented, as well as a comparative analysis of the academic performance and engagement levels of students in the experimental and control classes. These findings demonstrate consistent positive trends. Qualitative changes were also recorded-increased cognitive independence, decreased anxiety, and increased engagement in class. It is concluded that the inclusion of regionally-focused motivational tasks is effective not only in increasing interest in the Russian language but also in improving subject achievement among students in grades 5 and 6.

    The chapter reveals the concepts of “behavioral safety” and the related concept of danger, provides classifications of dangers, and outlines the goals of teaching students about safe behavior. The authors analyze the Federal Working Program for the subject “World Around Us” and argue that the most effective approach is an integrative one, where knowledge and skills of safe behavior are not taught as a separate course, but are systematically integrated into various components of educational and upbringing activities. The main content of the study focuses on the methodological framework for developing these skills through classroom activities. In the lessons on the world around us (in accordance with the Federal State Educational Standard for Primary General Education), students study topics directly related to road safety, fire safety, and safety when interacting with strangers, among other things. The authors explore the use of visual aids, game technologies, and problem-solving exercises in the lessons on the world around us in primary school.

    Abstract:
    The communication of modern children takes place in conditions of a combination of live communication and communication using gadgets. In preschool age, which is a sensitive period for the development of communicative skills, they quickly get used to short messages in messengers instead of using full phrases, they begin to use facial expressions and gestures less, and they pay less attention to the emotions of their interlocutor. This makes it difficult to effectively develop communicative skills. Due to the identified relevance of this problem, the article examines the main factors affecting the development of communicative skills in modern preschoolers. It describes their impact on this process.
