- Abstract:
- The epistolary legacy of the outstanding educator Ivan Yakovlevich Yakovlev (1848-1930) is a unique phenomenon in the culture of the Chuvash people. It expresses in a certain way the image of the multifaceted personality of I.Ya. Yakovlev, who worked tirelessly in the field of education and school education of his compatriots for more than half a century. This is evidenced by the results of scientific research by famous scientists G.N. Volkov, V.D. Dimitriev, N.G. Krasnov, G.N. Plechov, I.V. Pavlov, etc. Of particular research interest among the many letters of I. Ya. Yakovlev are lines related to the life of his own family. The study of the epistolary heritage of I. Ya. Yakovlev showed that the family was of great importance in his life. Peculiarities of the development of arbitrariness of mental cognitive processes in primary school children

Development of education Volume 8 No 1- Authors:

- Abstract:
- The relevance of the study lies in understanding the development of cognitive and regulatory functions in primary school-age children, which is crucial for their adaptation to the modern socio-cultural context. Rapid changes in technology and education require the development of volitional processes such as attention, memory, planning, and self-organization, key for academic and social adaptation. The study was conducted with a sample of 60 children (ages 8-9) from the Municipal Autonomous Educational Institution Secondary School No. 31 in Ishim. Diagnostic techniques assessed various aspects of volitional functions: goal-setting, forecasting, planning, correction, flexibility, adaptability, and reflection. Methods used included "Template," "Running Goose," "Simple Instructions Test," "Circles," and others, with data analysis performed using the φ* criterion – Fisher’s angular transformation. Most children’s voluntary cognitive and regulatory functions are in an active process of formation, with their components developing unevenly. Prediction, adaptability, and mnemonic abilities develop faster and more efficiently than goal setting, planning, correction, flexibility of actions, reflection, and attentional abilities. The study confirms the need for psychological and pedagogical support to enhance volitional functions in younger schoolchildren, aiding their successful academic and social adaptation.

Cognitive component of attitude to energy saving in older preschool children and primary school children

Development of education Volume 8 No 1- Author:

- Abstract:
- The article presents the results of a study of the cognitive component of attitudes towards energy saving among older preschoolers and younger schoolchildren. The relevance of the study is due to the unworthy attention of the education system to the issue of developing an environmental, energy-saving attitude in children, given the obvious need to form a modern person focused on rational, energy-saving behavior. The article presents the results of an empirical study based on the author's methodology to study the content of the cognitive component of attitudes towards energy saving, and describes the types of motives for energy saving in children aged 5–10 years. The levels of formation of cognitive attitudes towards energy saving are identified and described. Children have an average level of formation of the cognitive component of the attitude to energy saving. Ideas about energy saving are unclear, vague. From senior preschool to junior school age, positive dynamics in the development of the cognitive component is observed. The dominant motive for energy saving is the motive of avoiding discomfort. With age, the content of ideas about energy saving is clarified and the energy saving motive itself begins to clearly stand out. With age, motives of personal benefit give way to motives of social significance. The formation of the cognitive component of the attitude to energy saving is influenced by the attitudes of adults, as well as the content of education. Mastering school subjects that cover environmental issues, as well as developing new forms of thinking in younger students, contributes to the development of a cognitive attitude towards energy conservation.

The lag in neuropsychic development, the characteristic features of the development of perception, attention, memory, and the peculiarities of the course of mental activity provoke difficulties with the assimilation of knowledge, adaptation to educational requirements, and mastering the curriculum. - Abstract:
- This article presents the results of a study of the relationship between the level of self-esteem and the level of development of logical thinking in children of senior preschool and primary school age. It was found that in children of senior preschool age, the level of logical thinking is higher with inflated and inadequately inflated self-esteem, but primary school children demonstrate a high level of logical thinking with an adequately formed self-esteem. The results of the study indicate the presence of a significant correlation between self-esteem and logical thinking. These studies indicate that the completion of the formation of self-esteem during the transition from senior preschool age, the period of formation of logical operations, to primary school age, which is the foundation for the formation of adequate self-esteem, contributes to the harmonious development and timely formation of logical thinking.

- Abstract:
- The 19th century was a period of active development of women's education in Russia. It resulted in the formation of a wide network of women's educational institutions of various types and types in the country. Diocesan women's schools have taken an important place among them. Having originally appeared as charity shelters for orphaned girls, they have grown into women's theological schools. Their goal was not only charity, but also to provide priestly daughters with an education appropriate to their future mission. With the growth of social educational needs in Russia, the role of women's theological educational institutions has also significantly increased. Diocesan women's schools have become accessible to receive high-quality general education not only for children of clergymen, but also for poor parents of other classes. By providing their pupils with the right to teach, they have become one of the main sources of replenishment of the education system by well-trained teachers.

- Abstract:
- This article presents the results of an experimental study devoted to the study of the features of the structural components of self-awareness in children aged 5–6 years in the aspect of child-parent relationships. Addressing the designated issue is associated with the presence of significant deformations in the system of child-parent relationships recorded in recent decades in modern families, which negatively affect the personal development of the younger generation. Particularly significant in this issue is the preschool period, when the fundamental foundations of the child's personality are formed, first of all, the ability to realize his or her Self. At the same time, despite the increased relevance of the designated problem, it can be stated that it has not been finally resolved. The purpose of the study is to identify the features of the structural components of self-awareness in children aged 5–6 years in the aspect of child-parent relationships. The research methods are theoretical analysis and generalization of scientific literature on the research problem, ascertaining experiment, quantitative and qualitative analysis of the obtained data, methods of their interpretation. Results of the study: during the experimental study, the hypothesis was confirmed that the features of the structural components of self-awareness in children aged 5–6 years in the aspect of parent-child relationships are as follows: harmonious relationships between parents and a child in the family contribute to the formation of a higher level of the "I-image", a claim to recognition, a sense of gender identity, a sense of oneself in time, an understanding of one’s rights and responsibilities compared to disharmonious ones.
