Business analysis in the context of hybrid intelligence: new roles, competencies and methodologies
Book Chapter
Development of the Russian socio-economic system: challenges and prospects- Author:
- Pavel V. Bochkov
- Work direction:
- Глава 8
- Abstract:
- The chapter investigates the transformation of the business analyst profession amid AI advancements and hybrid intelligence – synergistic human-machine cognition in decision-making. Relevance arises from technological shifts: cloud migrations, microservices architecture, AI integration in business processes. Drawing on theoretical frameworks and empirical data from Russian and international companies, it elucidates the intellectualization of socio-economic systems. The study justifies abandoning traditional business analysis for hybrid methodologies incorporating predictive and adaptive elements. A novel typology of business analyst roles is introduced: systems ecosystem designer, AI model interpreter, data architect, ethical navigator. Key competencies are identified: systems thinking, technical literacy, machine learning basics, product mindset, ethical evaluation. It is concluded that in the context of hybrid intelligence, there is not a replacement of a person by a machine, but a qualitative change in his role – the transition from a performer of routine operations to a strategic partner providing synergy of human judgment and the computing power of algorithms.

- Abstract:
- In the context of active digitalisation of public administration, the study of problems and prospects for the provision of services through multifunctional centres (MFC) becomes particularly relevant. The purpose of the article is to analyse the effectiveness of the current MFC model, identify key problem areas and develop practical recommendations for their optimisation in the context of the digital transformation of the region. The methodological basis was the analysis of the regulatory framework, statistical data of the MFC's activities, as well as the method of expert evaluation. As a result of the study, system barriers were identified that limit the potential of the MFC as a driver of digital changes: fragmentation of IT infrastructure, staff shortage and the need to improve quality assessment metrics. The practical significance of the work lies in the proposal of a set of measures aimed at synchronising the organisational, personnel and technological development of the MFC to im

- Цифровая экономика и новые бизнес-модели региона
- Abstract:
- The article examines key trends in the digital economy and their impact on the emergence of new business models in an Arctic, resource-extracting region—the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug (YANAO). Based on an analysis of the region’s strategic documents and materials from the Higher School of Economics (HSE University), the paper summarizes the characteristics of digital infrastructure, the degree of engagement of residents and organizations in the use of digital services, and the managerial priorities of digital transformation. It is shown that the high penetration of broadband access and the internet creates prerequisites for market platformization, the development of “data as an asset,” remote services, and service-based models in the oil and gas sector, logistics, and the public services sector. A typology of promising business models for YANAO is proposed, and recommendations are formulated to mitigate risks when scaling digital solutions.

- Abstract:
- A study of the impact of short video formats (TikTok, VK clips, YouTube Shorts) on financial marketing and customer behavior, particularly in the Krasnoyarsk region. Based on a survey of young people, the authors identify trust in informal bloggers and the dominance of digital pragmatism in content consumption. The analysis shows that the format not only promotes high engagement but also introduces new risks due to the simplification of information and the loss of critical evaluation. The key conclusion is that FinTech companies need to combine the effectiveness of short videos with financial responsibility and a deep understanding of the local context to build sustainable trust.

- Abstract:
- The chapter is devoted to digital innovations and technologies that open up wide opportunities for agricultural production: management and monitoring of facilities in remote areas, herd management, monitoring of basic vital signs of animals, monitoring the accuracy of fertilizer application, forecasting adverse natural phenomena, maintaining distributed databases on land purchase and lease transactions, and others relevant directions. Industry 4.0 involves the active use of the latest digital technologies, tools and services in the daily activities of a modern agricultural engineer, agronomist, animal technician, veterinarian and other industry specialists. The author consider the process of active digital transformation of the agro-industrial complex industry as an inevitable way of forming a digital footprint, which can have a negative impact on the formation of the carbon footprint and the environment as a whole. Direct and indirect ways to minimize the carbon footprint by reducing the digital footprint in agricultural production are described. In conclusion, the conclusions are formulated that digital technologies contribute to improving the efficiency of modern digital agricultural production: presentation of information in various forms, automation of calculations, analysis of large amounts of data, decision support, etc. Limitations are also highlighted: uneven wireless coverage in agriculture, difficulties in maintenance and repair of robots and unmanned aerial vehicles, cybersecurity, lack of a legal framework, and a low level of digital culture.
