- Abstract:
- The study is designed to identify the relationship between self-presentation strategies and personality orientation in communication in adolescence. Self-presentation is understood as the totality of all human actions aimed at creating a certain image in the eyes of the audience, which can be either an individual or a group of people. Сommunication styles that are equally common in various situations of interpersonal interaction determine the personality orientation in communication. It has been established that self-presentation of adolescents is aimed at demonstrating personal achievements and the desire to make a favorable impression on a friend, class teacher (teacher), and classmates. When presenting themselves, adolescents with an authoritarian communication style use the «Desire to please» strategy; students with a manipulative communication style do not use the «Exemplary behavior» strategy; boys and girls with a dialogical orientation in communication have the «Tracking the impression made» strategy; schoolchildren who prefer the «Intimidation» strategy are focused primarily on the manipulative style of communication. The images of self-presentation identified in the work can serve as a basis for compiling training courses and educational programs on effective self-presentation in significant situations of interaction in the age group under study.

- Work direction:
- Ethnography, Ethnology and Anthropology
- Abstract:
- The article is devoted to the study of Chuvash ethnic myth-making in cyberspace. The aim of the work is to determine its role as one of the factors of ethnicity representation. The study is based on the analysis of the relevant content presented on popular web platforms and social networks YouTube, Rutube, Zen, VKontakte, Odnoklassniki. The study identifies a certain section of content offered by search algorithms as the most viewed and included in thematic collections and playlists. The author examines the myth-making components of the Internet space, characterizes formats and plots, identifies their authors, and studies the audience's reaction to the content. Data analysis showed that ethnic myth-making has a positive effect on the representation of the Chuvash culture. Despite some inaccuracies in the information, such material generally evokes positive emotions in users. Information in video and text format is published on popular Russian platforms, making ethno-myth-creating content accessible to a wide audience. The myths created by the authors reflect their desire to show the antiquity and significance of the Chuvash people, which helps the Chuvash people to understand their identity, place and role in the world. Ethno-myth-creating content on the Internet increases interest in the Chuvash culture, promoting its popularization and representation.

Nationalism and Populism: identity and differences
Book ChapterDevelopment of the Russian socio-economic system: challenges and prospects- Author:
- Aleksandr I. Kugai
- Work direction:
- Глава 14
- Abstract:
- The article discloses the logic of populism and nationalism, presents the rationale: when and why these discourses historically arise, and what function they perform in modern politics. First of all, nationalism and populism are internally intertwined, have a common structural origin, they cannot be completely separated from each other, even if it is possible to distinguish the ideal–typical logic of these phenomena. Secondly, nationalism and populism manifest themselves in various forms: the vitality of "banal" nationalism is accompanied by the almost ubiquitous presence of "subtle" populism. Thirdly, the problem of the relationship of nationalism and populism to modern democracy is, in principle, intractable. Nationalism and populism are absolutely necessary for the functioning of modern democracy, as they offer a solution to the border problem and the problem of political representation. Accordingly, without a minimum layer of nationalism and populism, the modern democratic community would disintegrate before it could form.

- Abstract:
- The Internet environment is becoming one of the factors of socialization of the younger generation. Nowadays, more high school students are opening up their own lives, emotions and behavior to the public when running a video blog on the Internet. The study of the socio-psychological characteristics of a high school student blogger represents a considerable interest, since, the number of domestic and foreign studies on this problem is not sufficient. The article arises the problem of acquiring socio-psychological characteristics by the young people using the Internet for blogging. As methodological tools of the study the author used various research methods including the author's questionnaire, "Scale of measurement of self-presentation tactics", "Scale of social trust of J. P. Blavatsky", "N. Hall's methodology for determining the level of emotional intelligence" etc. The article discusses the results of the comparative analysis of the socio-psychological characteristics of high school students, active Internet users and bloggers. The article describes an attempt to consider video blogging as a factor of socialization. As a result of the study, the definite features were identified, which consisted in the fact that a high school blogger having a low reflected self-attitude, may feel antipathy towards himself, and may actively use defensive-type tactics, that is, a defensive style of self-presentation.

- Abstract:
- The article presents the results of a study of ideas about a socially active personality among university students. Based on the characteristics of the three components of social ideas, it was concluded that there are a number of contradictions in ideas, the most significant of which are the contradictions between a positive assessment of the result of prosocial activity and negativism towards the self-realization of the individual in it. Some obstacles to increasing prosocial activity and the potential that teachers and psychologists can rely on have been identified. It is proposed to pay attention to prosocial cooperation as a phenomenon that combines the value and semantic features of prosocial activity.

Estimating the coherence of mental representations of category “emotion” in non-psychologist and psychologist students
Research ArticleDevelopment of education Volume 6 No 3- Author:
- Svetlana S. Fedosina
- Work direction:
- Psychology in Education
- Abstract:
- Psychologists studying emotion repeatedly noted that the meaning of the concept of «emotion» in both everyday and scientific area is characterized by insufficient coherence and fuzzy boundaries. This raises the question of whether the representations of people in everyday life include a related set of properties that characterize emotions as a class of phenomena, and whether these representations differ in non-psychologist and psychologist students. Our goal was to study the coherence of mental representations of emotions as a class of phenomena among psychologist and non-psychologist students. Participants included non-psychologist (100 male, 110 female, mean age – 19 years) and psychologist students (31 male, 159 female, mean age – 20 years). Methods used included the method of definitions, the method of associations; the coherence of the answers was estimated with frequency analysis, the method of family resemblance by E. Roche, the Pearson association coefficient, the method for calculating the indices of coherence, divergence and structure organization proposed by A.V. Karpov. The results of the study showed that non-psychologist students' answers were characterized the lower level of categorical validity, structure coherence, overall organization, established less amount of correlations then psychologist students' answers. It can be concluded that mental representations of non-psychologist students demonstrate lower coherence than psychologist students. The observed differences may be due to the fact that psychologist students learn scientific concepts of emotion as part of their education. At the same time, the answers that psychologist students give cannot be called completely coherent, which may be due to the difficulty of identifying a related set of properties that consist the meaning of the scientific concept of emotion. In conclusion are given some recommendations for the teacher aimed at increasing the level of coherence in mental representations of emotions among students.

- Abstract:
- The purpose of this chapter is to shed light on the interweaving of nationalism and populism, to identify the structural and socio-psychological factors from which the two discourses emerge. Nationalism is to come - as not so much a rational, but rather an emotional phenomenon, consisting of higher gnostic feelings of the belonging of mental processes to our "I". There are "banal" and "hot" forms of nationalism "banal" nationalism can be defined as the psychological presence of the nation against the background of everyday socio-political practices. Nationalism in the "hot" sense is to be as a psychological force that creates nation-states or threatens the stability of existing states. Also, Populist slogans are based on the psychology of winning one or another political force the trust and support of the masses. At the same time, the real goals of populist politicians (struggle for power, business project and enrichment), as a rule, are covered with socially attractive ideas. Standard populist statement: "We, the common people, will take to the streets and take back the country."

- Work direction:
- Practice
- Abstract:
- The article is focused on the analysis of typical mistakes and errors which are made by Russian students while creating PowerPoint presentations and delivering them at online international conferences. The relevance of the topic is connected with the necessity to face a new challenge of transforming the educational process into the new format – the format of distance learning. The author of the article outlies that this transformation should be carried out very carefully. Digitalization of education system should not result in painful destruction of traditional approaches to teaching and learning. It is noted that it is necessary to continue using those forms of educational process which are familiar both for teachers and students. One of such forms is an online student conference. The aim of the research was to analyze different types of mistakes and errors made by Russian students as well as their main causes. The author deals with examples collected while listening to presentations at the international online conferences which were held at the faculties of biology at Perm State University and the university of Delta, USA. The methods used in the research include analysis, description, observation, comparison. The results of the research demonstrated that one of the most common causes of mistakes is language interference. It is concluded that the analysis of typical mistakes and errors helps the teacher to make the right choice of materials for drilling in class, which, in turn, is crucial for language competence development that makes effective professional communication possible.

Formation of the World Picture and Tasks of Modern Education
Research ArticleDevelopment of education No 4 (6)- Author:
- Olga V. Plotnikova
- Work direction:
- Theoretical and applied education research
- Abstract:
- The purpose of the article is analysis of a stable holistic world picture formation ways in university students. The relevance of the issue is due to the fact that the formation of the most significant concepts that form the basis of the modern scientific world picture, often suffers from fragmentation, the knowledge gained by students in different sections of the same course, are little connected with each other, do not form a unified system. To ensure the unity of scientific knowledge, it is necessary to provide for the implementation of «comprehensive» generalizations throughout the whole course. The following methods were applied during the study: theoretical, analysis, comparison. This study proposes the criteria for selecting the main generalizing ideas and the conditions necessary for their successful work. The results of the study are concretized on the example of the space-time representations formation in the course of general physics in the university. The choice is due to the fact that the categories of space and time belong to the most fundamental concepts of science and culture, are a reflection of the universal attributes of matter. To solve the tasks, the analysis of the state of the problem in the methodology of teaching physics was carried out. It is concluded that the main ideas can serve as a basis for the space-time representations formation. The proposed provisions summarize the personal experience of teaching the course of general physics at the Far Eastern Federal University.

THE TRIUNE NATURE OF NATURAL INTELLIGENCE
Book ChapterEducation and science: current trends No 2- Authors:
- Anna A. Nikishina, Iurii A. Novikov, Aleksandr P. Novikov
- Work direction:
- Парадигмы современной науки
- Abstract:
- The monograph for the first time formulated and described the spiral technology of research and modeling of natural intelligence with three-step turns. Currently, only the first two steps of the first round of spiral technology are widely known. The need for this technology is dictated by the inability to know the natural intelligence, dissecting it or scanning by any radiation. The technology allows us to switch to high-performance systematic work instead of discussions about the nature of artificial and natural intelligence, as well as instead of the dreamy expectation of mysterious heuristics to address issues raised in the creation of artificial intelligence. The basis of the theory in the creation of a new technology is the result of the search for a constructive character in the interpretation of the concept of natural intelligence, that is, the interpretation of the triune nature of natural intelligence. The primary purpose of research on the subject of the monograph, the authors adopted the formulation and description of the theoretical basis of solving the problems of knowledge representation in computer systems. The creation of a theoretical basis becomes possible only with the realization of the triune nature of natural intelligence. The theoretical basis corresponds to the natural science positions in the study and modeling of the epistemological model (objectively isolated part, the unity with the other two parts of the natural intelligence component). The theoretical basis is in demand for obtaining knowledge models in computer systems, allocation on a set of these models of classes, and thus, for the formation of technical requirements in the work on the creation of new shells of knowledge-based systems that implement knowledge models of new classes. In the works focused on achievement of the declared purpose, and in the monograph it is convincingly shown that the whole layer of already executed large-scale works on formation of classes of models of knowledge in computer systems was not based on natural science positions, and for this reason results of already performed works are not demanded at creation of new systems based on knowledge. A significant part of the monograph contains a description of the historical aspect of the works on the stated topic. The consideration of the historical aspect allowed us to see the subjective reasons why the simple to understand and use spiral technology with three-step turns (the theoretical basis for solving the problems of knowledge representation in computer systems) for so long from the moment of formation and recognition of the scientific direction «artificial intelligence» remained undetected and not described for use in research and modeling of natural intelligence in the creation of artificial intelligence. The description of the historical aspect shows the forced reorientation of works on the topic from purely practical (not provided with a theoretical basis) to purely theoretical (not accompanied by works on the modernization of a software product and its implementation in real production). It is also noted that the return to the rails of highly profitable practical work is possible and appropriate. And, accordingly, recommendations for reorientation of works on the topic on the rails of practical and highly profitable are given.
