Social capital of students in the multiethnic educational environment of a Russian university: structure, formation mechanisms and development prospects
Book Chapter
Theoretical and practical aspects of pedagogy and psychology- Author:
- Olga V. Printsipalova
- Work direction:
- Abstract:
- The chapter addresses the problem of formation and accumulation of students' social capital in the multiethnic educational environment of a modern Russian university. The authors conduct a theoretical and methodological analysis of key social capital concepts (P. Bourdieu, J. Coleman, R. Putnam) as applied to the specifics of higher education in a multiethnic society. The structural elements of students' social capital – trust, social networks, norms of mutual assistance – are identified and their dynamics in a mixed ethnocultural university environment are traced. It is demonstrated that the multiethnic educational environment simultaneously serves as a condition and a resource for the formation of social capital: it provides for the expansion of interethnic interaction networks, the development of tolerance and intercultural competence, and the accumulation of «bridging» social capital. A conceptual model for the formation of students' social capital in a multiethnic university is proposed, incorporating institutional, communicative, psychological-pedagogical, and value-based components. Practical recommendations for designing an educational environment conducive to the accumulation of social capital and the strengthening of interethnic trust are substantiated.

A festive event at the preschool as a means of constructing a partnership dialogue with the family: from a formal event to interactive interaction
Book Chapter
Theoretical and practical aspects of pedagogy and psychology- Authors:
- Данченко Алина Сергеевна, Natalia A. Penkina, Evgeniia G. Chernykh, Ekaterina S. Sokolovskaia
- Work direction:
- Abstract:
- The chapter substantiates the need to transform formal holidays in preschool institutions into educational events for dialogue between teachers, children, and parents. The relevance is related to the requirements of partnership with the family and support for the child's emotional well-being. The chapter identifies the reasons for the formalization of holidays. It proposes a model for organizing a holiday (target, content, communicative, and reflective components) and the conditions for its effectiveness: voluntary participation, child agency, respect for family experiences, joint activities, and reflection. It is concluded that a holiday in a preschool institution can become not a formal event, but a space for dialogue, if it is based on the principles of voluntariness, the child's subjectivity, respect for family experience, joint activities, and subsequent reflection.

The relationship between the self-concept and the features of communication in adolescence: a theoretical and empirical analysis
Book Chapter
Theoretical and practical aspects of pedagogy and psychology- Authors:
- Natalia V. Shurova, Olga I. Zenina
- Work direction:
- Abstract:
- The chapter presents the results of theoretical and empirical research on the relationship between the structural components of self-concept and the features of communication in adolescence. The relevance of the study is driven by the need for an in-depth examination of the mechanisms of self-awareness formation in the context of digital socialization and the transformation of traditional educational institutions. The theoretical analysis includes a review of psychological approaches to self-concept (humanistic, cognitive, and social-constructivist paradigms), its structural components (cognitive, affective, and behavioral), as well as the psychological characteristics of adolescence and the specifics of the communicative sphere. The empirical study was conducted on a sample of 60 adolescents aged 11–16 using the following instruments: V.V. Stolin and S.R. Pantileev's Self-Attitude Questionnaire, M. Rosenberg's Self-Esteem Scale, V.I. Morosanova's Self-Regulation Styles Questionnaire, V.F. Ryakhovsky's Sociability Assessment Method, and the COS-2 Test (Communication Skills Test). Statistically significant correlations were found between the emotional-evaluative components of self-concept (self-respect and self-sympathy) and communicative tendencies, with self-regulation identified as a mediating factor. The findings can be used in the development of psychological and pedagogical support programs for adolescents.

The strategy of using color in advertising helplines
Book Chapter
Theoretical and practical aspects of pedagogy and psychology- Authors:
- Elena V. Zvonova, Iuliia V. Eroshova
- Work direction:
- Abstract:
- Helplines play a vital role in providing psychological support in crisis situations, especially for those unable to seek professional support in person. Effective advertising for these services, including posters and banners, promotes recognition and increases the likelihood of contact. The use of color, a powerful tool for influencing the human psyche by evoking specific emotions and associations, is an important aspect of attracting attention. The study analyzed the role of color and emotional responses in creating stimulus materials for helpline advertising. Particular attention was paid to identifying the relationships between color perception, the level of victimization, and the social role of respondents. The results showed that men exhibited an inverse relationship between the level of victimization and color perception in the first advertisement: the higher the victimization, the lower the receptivity to certain color schemes. Similarly, the second advertisement revealed a direct relationship between the level of victimization, the social role of the victim, and the emotional response to color. These findings confirm the importance of using color psychology in developing advertising campaigns for helplines and highlight the need for further research on larger samples. The practical significance of this study lies in providing new insights into the target audience, which could contribute to improving the communication strategies of helplines and law enforcement agencies.

PEDAGOGICAL SUPPORT FOR THE PROCESS OF ACQUISITION OF FAMILY VALUES BY ORPHANS
Conference Paper
Socio-Pedagogical Issues of Education and Upbringing- Authors:
- Tatiana A. Aprelova, Aleksei K. Osin
- Work direction:
- Abstract:
- This article examines the development and assimilation of family values in orphans and children left without parental care. It highlights the specific socialization challenges faced by this category of children: the lack of experience in a healthy biological family leads to a distorted perception of marital and parental roles, as well as a psychological unpreparedness for starting their own families in the future. It substantiates the need for targeted pedagogical support as a system of professional activities for educators, social workers, and psychologists. The key objectives of this support are explored. It is emphasized that only a comprehensive pedagogical approach can offset the deprivation of orphanhood and prepare adolescents for successful independent living and the creation of their own harmonious families.

- Abstract:
- The article considers a model of the process of forming family values in orphaned children and children left without parental care, raised in a substitute family. The paper analyzes the specific conditions of substitute parenthood (custody, foster family), which act as an environment for compensating for deprivation disorders of personality development. The author identifies the main components of the family values system and describes the stages of their formation: from the initial acquaintance with the lifestyle of a new family to the deep internalization (appropriation) of these attitudes as their own life guidelines. Special attention is paid to the need for pedagogical support for substitute parents themselves in order to prevent secondary abandonment of parenting and to harmonize child-parent relations

- Abstract:
- The research presented in this article focuses on the influence of youth subcultures on adolescent identity construction in modern society. The paper examines both the positive and negative effects of subculture membership, as well as the mechanisms of identity formation in this context. Based on the study's findings, the author concludes that youth subcultures play a dual role: they can act as catalysts for personal identity development, but they also carry the potential for social stigma and conflict.

- Abstract:
- The analysis of research has confirmed the importance of introducing preschool children to the social world and the need to provide pedagogical assistance and support to children as they enter the world of adults. The teacher's task is to adequately understand social transformations and effectively design the process of socialization in a preschool educational institution, taking into account the socio-economic and cultural characteristics of society. Economic dynamics and social turbulence determine the transition from a narrowly focused development of creativity to the formation of a socially adaptive personality resource that ensures the realization of giftedness. This necessitates a review of positive socialization strategies that are implemented in preschool age.

- Abstract:
- This article offers a systematic examination of the principal socioeconomic processes that shape the structure, stability, and evolution of contemporary societies. Moving beyond reductionist economic models, it adopts an interdisciplinary framework integrating sociological theory, political economy, and empirical observation. Key processes analyzed include digitalization and platform capitalism, financialization, demographic transitions, labor market flexibilization, and the socio-economic dimensions of environmental change. The paper argues that these processes are not unfolding in isolation but interact dialectically, producing paradoxical outcomes such as simultaneous wealth concentration and precarity, hyper-connectivity and social fragmentation. Drawing on evidence from post-industrial economies and emerging markets, the article demonstrates how national institutional contexts mediate global pressures. The conclusion outlines policy-relevant strategies for fostering inclusive and sustainable development in an era of systemic uncertainty.

Self-Consciousness as a Subject of Integration of the Humanities and Social Sciences: Socio-Psychological and Anthropological Approaches
Conference Paper
The Topical Issues of the Humanities and Social Sciences- Author:

- Социальные процессы и образование
- Abstract:
- The article addresses the interdisciplinary integration of sociological, anthropological, and socio-psychological approaches to the study of self-consciousness. Based on an analysis of key concepts, theoretical gaps between the disciplines are identified. The possibility of positioning a social anthropologist as a specialist in the development of self-consciousness is examined. The thesis is substantiated that genuine development of self-consciousness is impossible without taking into account both the social conditioning of the individual and their existential freedom. A conceptual framework for integration is proposed, based on distinguishing between structural, procedural, and existential levels of analysis

- Abstract:
- The study is devoted to the problem of high school students’ professional self-determination and its dependence on the development of self-consciousness in this age group. The relevance of the study is associated with the fact that, in early adolescence, the self-concept, reflection, life plans, and the ability to make a conscious career choice are being formed; however, many students still experience difficulties related to awareness, planning, and decision-making. Theoretical analysis made it possible to show that self-consciousness acts as a system-forming mechanism of professional maturity, ensuring the alignment of personal abilities, interests, and the demands of the professional sphere. The empirical study was conducted on a sample of 95 tenth-grade students aged 16–17. The diagnostic instruments used included the Self-Consciousness Scale by A. Fenigstein, M. F. Scheier, and A. H. Buss as adapted by A. V. Bocharov and co-authors, and the Professional Readiness methodology by A.

- Abstract:

Transformation of the Role of a Teacher of Socio-Humanitarian Disciplines in the Context of Digitalization of Education
Research Article
Development of education Volume 9 No 2- Author:
- Irina V. Staroverova
- Work direction:
- Pedagogy and Modern Education
- Abstract:
- The article analyzes the changing role of the teacher of socio-humanitarian disciplines (SHD) in the context of the widespread adoption of generative artificial intelligence (AI) in the educational process. The aim of the study is to identify the directions of transformation of the professional position of the SHD teacher and to propose a model that enables the adaptation of the educational process to the new digital reality. It is shown that the traditional model of the teacher as the primary source of knowledge and an expert-controller no longer works when students have constant access to generative AI systems capable of producing coherent and outwardly persuasive responses. The “simulacrum effect” creates a particular vulnerability for SHDs: generative models can easily produce a passable philosophical or sociological essay without any genuine understanding of the content. The author argues that the new role of the SHD teacher involves shifting the focus from transmitting ready-made knowledge to teaching information literacy skills, including verification and prompt engineering. A three-level model of teacher role transformation is proposed: the methodological level (teaching verification and prompt engineering), the project-facilitation level (hybrid “human + AI” formats), and the ethical-reflexive level (defining the boundaries of acceptable AI use). A fourth, integrative level is also described, which is achieved upon mastering the previous three and involves the teacher transitioning to the role of academic mentor, guiding students through the research cycle of “generation – critique – reflection”. Based on practical experience, specific methods are described, such as the “three-layer essay” and “AI reviewer”, that enable the implementation of this model in the educational process. The proposed model transforms the teacher's role not toward competition with AI, but toward that of a mentor who cultivates critical thinking and research culture.
