  • The main directions of work with contextual biological tasks: methodological recommendations

    Contextual biology problems are becoming increasingly relevant in the methodology of teaching biology. These problems involve specific life situations that are related to the students' existing knowledge and experience. The need to develop the skills to solve these problems is dictated by the content of the EGE, OGE, and VPR assessment procedures, as well as the "21st-century skills," which include critical thinking and problem-solving, reasoning, analysis, interpretation, and generalization of information, collaboration, including online collaboration, independent work and self-control, research skills and methods, and more. In the article, the author summarizes the experience of working with contextual biological tasks in the form of main directions, provides examples, and methodological recommendations.

  • Metacognitive scaffolding in teaching English for law students

    Abstract:
    Metacognitive support in foreign language classes for law students is considered as a potentially effective pedagogical technology that fosters students’ ability to self-manage their learning process. The aim of this study was to assess the impact of introducing metacognitive elements into English lessons for law students through a comparative analysis of students’ level of metacognitive awareness before and after the experimental period. The article presents the results of an empirical study involving 30 students, equally divided into two groups (control and experimental). Students’ metacognitive awareness was measured twice: at the beginning and the end of the experiment by an author-developed questionnaire consisting of 15 questions in three blocks. Statistical processing of the results was performed in Excel. For 14 weeks, students in the experimental group completed tasks aimed at developing planning, monitoring, and self-evaluation skills. The results of the experiment showed an increase in the level of metacognitive awareness of students in the experimental group by an average of 21,5%. The practical significance and novelty of the study is in the validation of metacognitive educational technologies in the class of Legal English. The practical tasks can be used to design educational programmes and teaching materials aimed at developing students’ skills in independent information work, critical thinking, and self-regulation.

    Abstract:
    Fundamental analysis, traditionally used to evaluate individual companies, needs to be rethought in the context of modern complex business ecosystems. The authors explore the transformation of fundamental analysis methods necessary for an adequate assessment of companies whose value and viability are closely linked to their position in the ecosystem, analyze the limitations of traditional approaches and propose an expanded methodology that takes into account network effects, interdependencies between ecosystem participants, as well as the impact of external factors such as regulation and technological change. The chapter aims to identify key indicators that are characteristic of the ecosystem approach and should be included in the traditional fundamental analysis. The aim of the work is to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of such an integrated approach to improve the accuracy and validity of assessing the value of companies in the context of ecosystem development. As a result, a new business valuation framework is proposed that provides a more complete and accurate view of the value of companies in today's ecosystem-based economy.

    The article examines the role of artificial intelligence in tax regulation. The advantages of using technology to improve reporting accuracy, automate routine tasks, and detect tax fraud are discussed. The risks associated with the introduction of artificial intelligence in the tax sphere are considered, including issues of information confidentiality and the need for employee training. The introduction of technology into tax regulation can significantly improve the efficiency and transparency of tax systems, but requires a careful approach to ethics and legal regulation.

    The study focuses on adapting successful metrics for evaluating the effectiveness of corporate coaching used in the United States to the countries of the CIS, taking into account cultural differences (Golvy, 2019; Whitmore, 2020). The novelty lies in identifying and adapting metrics that consider the specifics of cultural codes and social identity in CIS countries (Hofstede, Hofstede, Minkov, 2019; Trompenaars, Hampden-Turner, 2020). Metrics are viewed as tools for assessment and methods to deepen client work, enhance awareness of the process, improve its measurability, and foster professional growth for coaches (Tajfel, 1979; Burns, 1978). The study examines international experience in measuring coaching effectiveness, with a particular emphasis on adapting American approaches to the corporate environment using online platforms, as well as analyzing results (Bass, 1985; Seligman, 2011).

    Professional development of teachers is an important component of education quality. The paper presents the results of a study on the impact of a teacher training program on classroom teaching practices. A comparison is made of teachers' teaching practices in the areas of planning, implementation, and evaluation before and after participation in the program. The study found that the professional development program has a statistically significant and positive impact on planning, implementation, and evaluation practices. These results serve as evidence of the importance of teacher training in terms of changes in classroom teaching practices.

  • Features of using neural network platforms for teaching foreign languages in a non-linguistic university

    This study was conducted to find out the advantages and disadvantages of teaching a foreign language at a non-linguistic university using neural network platforms and to compare such training with traditional teaching of foreign languages. During the research, an analysis of the features of neural networks and learning platforms based on them was carried out. The author of the article conducted experimental training in order to compare the success of mastering lexical and grammatical foreign language material when learning on the Duolingo neural network platform with traditional foreign language teaching. As a result of the study, the author discovered that when learning on neural network platforms, students experience difficulties at the stages of forming and maintaining motivation, presenting new foreign language material, comprehending and rethinking. These difficulties are associated with the risk of cognitive devaluation of students’ memory, the Google effect, the inability of neural networks to structure information, clip thinking, and the lack of comparison of new foreign language phenomena with their analogues in the students’ native language and native culture. At the same time, in the process of experimental training, the author found that vocabulary acquisition occurs more effectively when learning on neural network platforms. In addition, according to the results of the survey, students like to study a foreign language on neural network platforms due to the abundance of game components of such learning. In conclusion, the article provides ways to mitigate and level out the identified shortcomings of learning on neural network platforms, the main of which is the organization of blended learning, in which the teacher forms and maintains student motivation, presents new foreign language material, activates students’ conceptual critical thinking with the help of appropriate exercises, and students perform lexical and grammatical exercises on the neural network platform.

  • National Specificity of German Secondary Nominations with Zoonyms Schwein or Sau in Their Composition

    Abstract:
    The article presents the results of the analysis of German secondary nominations with Schwein or Sau zoonyms. The aim of the analysis was to identify common and nationally specific features of these nominations against the background of their Russian equivalents. The relevance of this study is due to the need for a comprehensive study of secondary nominations, taking into account their axiological aspects, which have a certain cultural uniqueness and cause nationally unique semantic transformations in the lexical meaning of these units. The study used the methods of descriptive, comparative-comparative, component analysis, the method of critical dictionary analysis and dictionary definitions. These methods allowed us to conclude that the nominative potential of the secondary meanings of the German zoonym Schwein or Sau is more pronounced in comparison with their Russian equivalents. The analysis also showed a wider evaluative spectrum of German units and a greater variability of the axiological component in their lexical meaning both under the influence of the contextual environment and without it. Secondary nominations with the indicated zoonyms in their composition were selected as the main material of the study, identified by means of a continuous sampling from German explanatory, encyclopedic, phraseological and linguocultural dictionaries, German language resources, as well as German-Russian dictionaries.

    The article analyzes one of the political problems of the Great Patriotic War – the reorganization of government bodies in 1941–1945. using the example of the Chuvash Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. The history of the activities of state authorities and local self-government in wartime, which throughout all the years of the war carried out their responsible work to ensure the defense of the country, is examined in many ways. The features of the organization of military mobilization measures at the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, as well as the provision and conduct of evacuation measures in the first years of the war are shown. The work of party and government bodies in the field of socio-economic policy to provide the evacuated population with essential goods is presented.

    The article analyzes the sociocultural aspects of the formation of the Cheboksary Electrical Equipment Plant during the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945. («Advanced Electrical Equipment Plant No. 654»). The process of evacuation of the Kharkov Electromechanical Plant and the establishment of industrial production in Cheboksary is considered. The issues of solving social and everyday problems regarding the placement of evacuated specialists, as well as the educational mission of the Plant on the formation of socio-cultural employment as the initial stages of the formation of a separate electrical engineering cluster of the Chuvash Republic at the present stage are considered.

    Waldlage Stalag 352 and transit Dulag 126 camps in the occupied territory of the Byelorussian SSR, in which more than 80 thousand prisoners of the Red Army, officers and soldiers, mobilized civilians of various nationalities died from wounds and diseases, hunger and cold, torment and bullying. And if Germany officially recognized the genocide of the Jewish people, then nothing of the kind happened regarding the genocide of Soviet prisoners of war in the occupied territories.

  • The role of the Karelian-Finnish epic “Kalevala” in the ethno-cultural education of younger schoolchildren

    The article deals with the issues of ethnocultural education of younger schoolchildren and the features of their solution in the modern information world; the results of an empirical study are presented, showing the insufficiently formed level of knowledge of the culture of the Karelian people by children on the example of the Kalevala epic, the development of which is mandatory in the educational space of the Republic of Karelia; examples of the use of the ideas of the synthesis of arts in the course of creating a choreographic work based on the Kalevala epic have been studied. The work is based on the author's observations of the process of studying the Karelian-Finnish epic “Kalevala” by students of primary school age in the conditions of the city of Petrozavodsk. The main research methods were theoretical analysis and experimental and practical work with an experimental group of younger schoolchildren. The author has studied the possibilities of applying the synthesis of arts in the formation of knowledge about the Kalevala epic. The epos “Kalevala” is included in the national-regional component of the educational program, the implementation of which makes it possible to achieve the tasks of ethno-cultural development and education of schoolchildren. However, in the conditions of multitasking pedagogical practice, forced to respond to all the challenges of the information world, the issues of preserving cultural traditions and transferring ethnocultural experience in the modern world become difficult to solve and depend on the stereotypes formed by modern mass media.

  • About the Results and Conclusions of Checking the Level of Formation of Textual Competencies of Younger Schoolchildren in Their Native (Chuvash) Language

    The purpose of the article is to substantiate approaches to the development and description of tools for monitoring the level of formation of textual competencies of younger schoolchildren in the Chuvash language, to present the results of checking the level of formation of textual competencies of younger schoolchildren in their native Chuvash language. The main research methods: analysis of the methodology of formation and monitoring of general communication skills of younger schoolchildren, the results of All-Russian testing works of students in the 4th grade of the Chuvash Republic in Russian in order to identify difficulties, diagnostics of the level of formation of textual competencies in the native language of students in grades 1-4 of Chuvash schools. The importance of primary education and the importance of language learning, including the formation of textual competencies in younger schoolchildren, is pointed out. The main problems of providing the Chuvash primary school with didactic materials for the development of native speech, as well as tools for monitoring the level of formation of textual competencies are highlighted. An assumption about the expediency of creating and tools for monitoring the level of formation of textual competencies within the framework of the development of a set of didactic materials on the Chuvash language for grades 1-4 is put forward. Research results and conclusions. The necessity of developing verification works designed to ensure the unity of the educational space of the Chuvash Republic for teaching the Chuvash language, including by providing educational institutions with uniform verification materials and uniform criteria for evaluating educational achievements, is substantiated. The purpose and objectives, the methodology of developing diagnostic materials for determining the level of formation of textual competencies are clarified. The materials and results of diagnostics of textual competencies of younger schoolchildren in the Chuvash language are described. The ideas and provisions implemented in the materials for determining the level of formation of textual competencies in the Chuvash language were successfully tested in grades 1-4 in a number of Chuvash schools, and also approved by teachers.

    Abstract:
    This article summarizes the experience of practical teaching work on the development of skills and teaching written speech in French in the process of gaining level B1. Within the framework of the competence approach and focusing on modern educational and methodological complexes of French authors, strategies and standard tasks of DELF, teachers rethought and adjusted these scenarios based on their own long-term classroom practice, features and conditions of the curriculum. The experience was systematized and presented in this work in the form of specific recommendations to students for the production of written creative works of the level and the appropriate table of criteria for their evaluation.
