    Abstract:
    This scientific article discusses the importance and effectiveness of the use of visualization in teaching mathematics to foreign students at the preparatory faculties of technical universities. The analysis of the available visualization methods contains interactive demonstrations, graphs, diagrams, animations and other techniques that contribute to improving the understanding of mathematical concepts and stimulate the active participation of students in the educational process. This study also examines the advantages and limitations of visualization, offers recommendations for the effective use of this tool in teaching mathematics to international students.

    Based on the sociocultural method, the essence of teaching in its correlation with apprenticeship was revealed; the prerequisites for the intention of enlightenment in Russian history are clarified. The poet is considered as a kind of Teacher of the people. The poet teaches to be a person and individuality. As a result of the study, it is concluded that the intention of enlightenment expresses the traditional nature of society and, at the same time, the desire of Russian society for rationalization and modernization based on the formation of a personal principle.

    The article presents an overview of methodological approaches to the formation of self-control among students of grades 5-6 in the study of mathematics. The analysis of the state of this issue showed that in the works of D.B. Elkonin, G.A. Zukerman, V.L. Krutetsky, etc., the importance of self-control within the framework of organizing collective work in the classroom is indicated, and in the works of A.G. Mordkovich, Yu.M. Kolyagin, etc. when studying mathematics. It is proved that one of the means of forming self-control among students of grades 5-6 is a collective way of learning.

    Abstract:
    Podcasting, a digital educational technology based on the use of authentic and educational podcasts, is described in this study as a way to enhance learning and increase student motivation. Considering the educational value of podcasting from the point of view of its integration into modern pedagogical paradigms, the author justifies podcasting in second language learning in non-linguistic higher educational institutions, highlighting the criteria for its effectiveness: accessibility and thematic diversity, usability, development of metacognitive and language skills. The chapter presents the results of a quasi-experiment involving 146 students that aimed to identify students' attitudes towards podcasts before and after their introduction into the educational process.

    The objective of the research consists in developing and substantiating scientifically a necessity of such disciplines as digital literacy, digital safety, digital standardization, encryption means and Runet peculiarities embedded into the process of foreign language teaching in non-linguistic universities. The results of the conducted research allow to conclude that mastering a competent specialist during digitalization era requires the changes in the foreign language teaching content. It is especially crucial to take this factor into account to teach future journalists a foreign language. The chapter focuses on the method to develop the new competency in the area of digital safety while teaching journalists a foreign language.

  • University lecture: experience of teaching chemistry to foreign students

    Abstract:
    The article presents the experience of teaching chemistry to foreign students of a medical university. To facilitate the understanding of educational material in chemistry by foreign students, the didactic potential of university lectures has been expanded. Every year, Russian universities accept citizens from more than 170 countries to study. The annual growth in the number of foreign students corresponds to the national course for further integration into the educational and scientific community of the allied states. The relevance of the study is determined by the need of Russian universities to develop educational and methodological materials in a foreign language for training programs for foreign students. The aim of this study is to facilitate the understanding of lecture material, and, as a result, to increase the effectiveness of teaching chemistry to foreign students of a medical university through the use of an English-language course of lectures in the learning process. Within this work, using the method of students questionnaire survey, a pedagogical study of the attitude of foreign students to the use of a course of chemistry lectures in English was carried out. The study involved 80 foreign students of Altai State Medical University, citizens of far abroad countries. It was found that the described course of lectures minimizes the difficulties of foreign students' perception of large amounts of educational material (97.5% of respondents), increases the efficiency of independent work (92.5%), helps to overcome the language barrier when teaching in an intermediary language (67.5%), as a result, there is a general interest of foreign students in chemistry as a science (95%), facilitating of educational material understanding and an increase in academic performance (96.2% of those who successfully passed the exam in chemistry compared to 60% of students in the control group). Thus, we came to the conclusion that the use of a developed English-language course of lectures in the teaching chemistry makes it easier for students to perceive the lecture material and improve the quality of chemistry education for foreign students.

    Abstract:
    September 2020 was the 10th anniversary of the dual education system in Russia. Germany (German school) is considered to be the ancestor of dual education. Its elements can be found in the systems of professional education in many European and Asian countries [2]. Today the dual system of professional education has received worldwide recognition – it is the most widespread and recognized form of personnel training, which combines theoretical training (in our country – 40%, in Germany – 20–25%) in an educational institution and industrial training (75–80% at the enterprises). This model of training is used in specialized secondary and higher educational institutions, and is financed jointly with business, which is interested in qualified personnel, and the state. The new training system should "arm" the graduates with three main competences, behavioral and personal qualities: Decision-making skills (Soft Skills); professional qualities (Hard Skills), because unprofessionalism is ruining Russia; modern technologies (Digital Skills).

    The chapter deals with the organization of the educational process in a technical university for master’s students in the discipline «Foreign language in the professional field» with the introduction of technologies of provocative pedagogy; the advantages of using these technologies in order to increase the interest of master’s students in the material being studied, the degree of assimilation of educational material, motivation and their effective interaction and compensation for the lack of a language environment have been revealed. The paper substantiates the need to use these technologies, techniques and teaching aids, depending on the level of foreign language proficiency of students; examples of tasks for the proposed technologies were given and an analysis of the effectiveness of the developed tasks was carried out.

    Abstract:
    The chapter describes the problems of teaching propaedeutics of childhood diseases, which were discussed at the third All-Russian conference «Knowledge of propaedeutics is the basis of clinical thinking of a pediatrician." The characteristics of modern textbooks on this discipline, published in Russia in the last 15 years, are given, their advantages and disadvantages are described. The educational and methodological manuals and workshops published in SPbGPMU on separate sections of the program at the Department of Propaedeutics of Children's Diseases are described. Discussions are presented on the methodology of teaching practical skills, innovations in teaching and traditional work at the bedside, methods for assessing the physical development of children and childhood nutrition. It is emphasized that the formation of a student's motivation for learning largely depends on the personality of the teacher, his human qualities, charisma, competence and empathy.

    In work the urgency of the problem of the development of professional competencies is substantiated, since future medical workers have a contradiction between their psychological readiness and practical abilities to perform professional labor functions. The importance of creating a practice-oriented educational environment as a determinant of the formation of students' professional knowledge and professional experience is emphasized. Based on the theoretical analysis of domestic and foreign bibliographic sources, the didactic possibilities of imitation teaching methods were identified as key in the preparation of medical college students. However, the description of techniques for understanding the process of multidimensional classification (grouping), currently available, is relatively difficult for teachers without mathematical training.     Introduction. The methodological support of the educational process is considered from the point of view of the didactic construction of the information environment of education using technical pedagogical tools in the implementation of the pedagogical technology "learning through teaching". To increase the complexity of the teaching content, the effectiveness of combining the "learning through teaching" approach with information technologies is considered proven. The most developed idea of such a combination is the introduction of a "pedagogical agent (comrade)", which carries out communication with the subject area and is an analogue of an expert system. From the point of view of designing an information learning environment, we can talk about using technical tools or their analogs as boundary objects. Horizontal interaction of participants with each other in the implementation of the technology "learning through teaching" generates new boundary objects that can be considered as the basis of methodological support of the educational process. The combination of these two approaches is the theoretical basis of part of the research carried out at the Department of Algorithmic Mathematics of SPBSET "LETI". Results. The role and place of teaching materials in the implementation of the technology "learning through teaching" is presented. The changes in the understanding of the content of teaching are confirmed not only in direct active "teaching", but also in the preparation of teaching materials.
