- Abstract:
- The article examines the transformation of organizational and methodological approaches to ensuring security at the Olympic Games in the period from 1972 to 1984. Based on the analysis of historical documents, parliamentary reports and scientific research, it is shown that the terrorist attack on the Munich Olympics (1972) became the starting point for the formation of a new model of organizing sports mega-events – the "Olympic fortress". Special attention is paid to the impact of these changes on the competition infrastructure, the psychological training of athletes, the work regulations of coaching staffs and the logistics of moving delegations. The conclusion is made about the need to integrate safety measures into the sports event management system as an integral element of modern methods of physical education and sports training.

- Abstract:
- Medical translation is a highly specialized field where precision is a matter of life and health. Among the most challenging elements are acronyms and abbreviations. These short forms save time and space in clinical documentation but often become serious obstacles in cross‑language communication. This article reveals the following key problems in translating medical abbreviations: multiple meanings of a single abbreviated form, variability in spelling, the danger of illegible handwriting, sound-based acronyms and pseudo-blends that can be mistaken for another word or medical term, terminological shifts between languages where a full term or a different structure replaces the English acronym, inversion of word order in Romance languages that changes the sequence of letters in the acronym, as well as dialectal differences within the same language that require separate adaptation.

Organizing Students' Independent Work in the Course “Technologies of Interaction between Participants in Educational Relations”
Research Article
Development of education Volume 9 No 2- Author:
- Lyudmila N. Danilova
- Work direction:
- Pedagogy and Modern Education
- Abstract:
- The aim of this article is to examine the specific features of organizing students' independent work in a modern university, using Mari State University as a case study. The relevance of the research is justified by contemporary requirements for the structure of curricula and the forms of organizing educational activities in higher education. The paper presents practical materials on the organization of students' independent work within the framework of the discipline “Technologies of Interaction between Participants in Educational Relations”, which is included in the master's degree curriculum. The research materials comprised an analysis of psychological and pedagogical literature and the results of the author's survey of students. The case study reveals the essence of the concept of “independent work” in the context of the requirements of regulatory frameworks governing the educational process and the current conditions for the implementation of educational programs. The author emphasizes the role of the teacher in organizing students' cognitive activities and substantiates the importance of monitoring and assessment on the part of the instructor. The article provides a fragment of the thematic planning of independent work, specifying the task formulations and the forms of reporting the results of students' independent mastery of the course material. Based on the research findings, the author draws the following conclusions: independent work is a component of the educational program within the academic discipline; students' learning motivation for independent work depends on the discipline module, instructor monitoring, and instructional support provided by the teacher.

Transformation of the Role of a Teacher of Socio-Humanitarian Disciplines in the Context of Digitalization of Education
Research Article
Development of education Volume 9 No 2- Author:
- Irina V. Staroverova
- Work direction:
- Pedagogy and Modern Education
- Abstract:
- The article analyzes the changing role of the teacher of socio-humanitarian disciplines (SHD) in the context of the widespread adoption of generative artificial intelligence (AI) in the educational process. The aim of the study is to identify the directions of transformation of the professional position of the SHD teacher and to propose a model that enables the adaptation of the educational process to the new digital reality. It is shown that the traditional model of the teacher as the primary source of knowledge and an expert-controller no longer works when students have constant access to generative AI systems capable of producing coherent and outwardly persuasive responses. The “simulacrum effect” creates a particular vulnerability for SHDs: generative models can easily produce a passable philosophical or sociological essay without any genuine understanding of the content. The author argues that the new role of the SHD teacher involves shifting the focus from transmitting ready-made knowledge to teaching information literacy skills, including verification and prompt engineering. A three-level model of teacher role transformation is proposed: the methodological level (teaching verification and prompt engineering), the project-facilitation level (hybrid “human + AI” formats), and the ethical-reflexive level (defining the boundaries of acceptable AI use). A fourth, integrative level is also described, which is achieved upon mastering the previous three and involves the teacher transitioning to the role of academic mentor, guiding students through the research cycle of “generation – critique – reflection”. Based on practical experience, specific methods are described, such as the “three-layer essay” and “AI reviewer”, that enable the implementation of this model in the educational process. The proposed model transforms the teacher's role not toward competition with AI, but toward that of a mentor who cultivates critical thinking and research culture.

Physical Education of Students in the Context of the Lifelong Learning Concept
Research Article
Development of education Volume 9 No 2- Author:
- Ekaterina G. Saiganova
- Work direction:
- Pedagogy and Modern Education
- Abstract:
- The article examines the problem of modernizing the physical education system in higher education from the perspective of the lifelong learning concept. Modern socio-economic conditions, characterized by rapidly changing professional requirements and the deteriorating somatic health of young people, necessitate a revision of the traditional paradigm of physical education as a purely disciplinary course limited to the period of study at university. The aim of the study is to provide a theoretical justification and empirically test the effectiveness of a physical education model for students focused on developing health-preserving competencies and motivation for lifelong regular physical activity. Results: after implementing the model, the experimental group showed a significant increase in motivation by 49.4% (p ≤ 0.05), the level of self-monitoring competencies increased by 76.7%, and the frequency of independent exercise increased 4.2fold. The proportion of students intending to continue physical activity after graduation increased from 13% to 58%, and this effect persisted three months after the experiment (52%). The experimental results showed that implementing the author's model, which includes variable modules, self-monitoring elements, and a digital tracking platform, significantly increases the level of motivation for physical exercise and the formation of lifelong self-education competencies in the field of physical culture. It is argued that physical education for students should serve not as an isolated course but as a launching pad for an individual trajectory of physical self-improvement. The lifelong learning concept transforms the goals of physical education – from meeting standards to a culture of health, from compulsory classes to conscious self-organization. The proposed model can be scaled across the higher education system.

Directions for the development of microloan regulation in Russia
Book ChapterDevelopment of the Russian socio-economic system: challenges and prospects- Author:
- Andrei V. Minakov
- Work direction:
- Глава 5
- Abstract:
- Microfinance institutions are demonstrating a consistently high rate of expansion worldwide. In the Russian Federation, these organizations play a vital role in the financial ecosystem. They provide access to loans for small businesses, and their services are also important for individuals whose income levels do not allow them to qualify for standard banking products. The existing microloan regulation system in Russia requires development, as the microfinance sector is characterized by serious problems, including high interest rates, risky lending terms, and unfair practices by some lenders. The purpose of this study is to examine the development of microloan regulation in Russia. This chapter utilizes research methods such as theoretical source analysis, statistical data, and comparative analysis. Indicators characterizing the performance of microfinance organizations in the Russian Federation for 2021–2025 were analyzed. An analysis of microcredit development in the Russian Federation revealed an increase in the microloan portfolio size, the share of online loans in the microloan portfolio, and the microloan portfolio turnover rate. However, a simultaneous decrease in the median ROE and an increase in the share of outstanding debt (for which the principal is overdue by 90 days or more) were also observed. Further development of microloan regulation in Russia is necessary. Particular attention should be paid to reducing the maximum cost of credit, tightening macroprudential limits, automating the blocking of illegal lenders, and improving the financial literacy of the population.

- Abstract:
- The relevance of the topic of the chapter is determined by the lack of alternatives to the proposed approach in the implementation of national projects, as well as the need for continuous improvement of the software for this process. Today, socio-economic development programs for territories are being implemented in a comprehensive manner as part of a number of national priority projects, which significantly improve the quality of life for the local population and enhance environmental and other system-determining factors. The research methods used in this chapter include analysis, synthesis, deduction, induction, abduction, and classification. A multifactorial analysis allowed us to assess the current «bottlenecks» and the prospects for their possible resolution with a sufficient degree of objectivity. The subject of the study was the search for «bottlenecks» in the project’s software, using the indicators of the Chelyabinsk Region as an example.
