- To create a psychologically safe educational process, the most important components will be the personal characteristics of the participants in the educational process. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of hardiness of future specialists with different strategies of self-affirmation as a fac-tor affecting the psychological safety in the educational environment. It is vitality that is one of the basic characteristics that allows participants in the educational process not only to overcome life circumstances and adapt to constantly changing conditions, but also to become stronger, qualitatively improving the standard of living, physical and psychological health. - School, being the upmost institute of children's socialisation, must create proper conditions for their development, providing safe education environment, assisting and supporting children in such way that it ensures psychological and pedagogical support of the students. Nowadays, modern school appears as the high-risk object due to the high level of challenges and threats which may be both subjective and objective. The system of psychological and pedagogical support of children is one of the conditions of creation of psychologically safe environment of school. The article examines some of the actual problems connected with the effective creation and functioning of the system of psychological and pedagogical support. Such problems include the need for correction of professional expertise of the school psychologist and the teacher. During the phase of academic studies their vocational training should include not only the competence aimed at the realisation of support but the students themselves should become the part of this system.

- The article is devoted to discussing social and pedagogical context for the processes of upbringing and education. The purpose of the study is to disclose the specifics of upbringing and education contributing to positive socialization of the individual in the circumstances when the social component of modern life has gained greater significance. The research methods include the study and analysis of academic and pedagogical publications on the discussed issue. The article examines integration and differentiation as trends in the progress of modern pedagogical science. The author highlights the issue of interconnection and independence between general pedagogy, social pedagogy and other human sciences. The idea of social context for traditional pedagogical processes of education and instruction is argued in the article. The author focuses on transformation that these processes undergo in the present-day context for an individual’s social development, as well as on risks and barriers in solving educational problems arising in that context. The article reveals the role performed by child’s upbringing and education as factors of positive socialization. The author presents her standing in viewing the concept of “positive socialization”, and in defining the role of positive thinking in this process. The article also suggests there is a need for socio-pedagogical support for an individual’s positive socialization. The concept and content of socio-pedagogical support of a student in the process of upbringing and education is briefly revealed. The author concludes by stating a demand to modify methodology of researching processes of education and instruction in the domain of an individual’s socialization.

Features of Adaptation of Non-Resident Students to the University Learning Environment

- The article is devoted to the overview of one of the most current problems that arise in the process of supporting the adaptation of students. The paper reveals the content of the adaptation process, its content and procedural characteristics, describes the types and stages, and directions of diagnostics. The aim of the work is to identify the features of adaptation in first-year students, including the description of the specifics of difficulties of non-resident students’ adaption. The study was conducted at the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology “Petrozavodsk State University” with first-year students studying in the fields of education 44.03.02 Psychological and pedagogical education, 44.03.01. Pedagogical education, 44.03.03 Special (defectologic) education. The following methods were used to test the hypothesis: «I am a student» survey, «Scale of subjective well-being» method, analysis of documents (medical records of students), quantitative and qualitative analysis. The results of the study. Analysis of the results of the study showed that non-resident students have both general and specific difficulties of adaptation due to the breakdown of previous family and friendships, lack of emotional support, difficult living conditions, a new neighborhood, a new type of settlement, etc. The obtained results are used for development and implementation of measures to support students during the adaptation period.

- The author outlines that standards of training graduates for various sectors of the economy are set by modern economic realities. It is noted that nowadays the knowledge obtained by a graduate should be relevant and consistent with the latest trends in the socio-economic development of society. In these conditions, economic knowledge is necessary for the wider population receiving education in various specialties, including potential doctors and pharmacists. The author also pays special attention to the fact that results obtained after conducting knowledge evaluation test of students studying at Kuban State Medical University on the basis of testing the project “Federal Internet exam in the field of professional education: competency-based approach” revealed a qualitative increase. It is concluded that in many respects, the indicator was achieved due to the improvement of the teaching methods of economic disciplines and the adaptation of the material presented in textbooks on economics to the profile of a medical university.

- The experience of psychological and pedagogical support of gifted children, which consists mainly in the creation of certain conditions in a private educational institution is presented in the article. On the basis of a private lyceum named after G.V. and N.G. Riumin of Ryazan, created by the founder N.V. Riumin – candidate of psychological sciences and by its director L.I. Arkharova – candidate of pedagogical sciences, head of the Pedagogy and Teacher Education Department at FSBEI of HE " Ryazan State University named for S. Yesenin", the experience of cooperation of higher education and general education institutions in the formation and upbringing of gifted children has been studied. L.I. Arkharova’s psychological and pedagogical competencies and long experience enabled to create the conditions for attracting the best teachers of Ryazan. Being rather a small city, when the teachers of the FSBEI of HE " Ryazan State University named for S. Yesenin" know the best of the best by sight, teach the potential teachers a worthy education and “see” the situation from the inside, close cooperation and interaction can be observed. Entering the lyceum, children individually reveal their potential being surrounded by care, warmth, love and attention to the personality of everyone.
