Imagery-Value and Resource-Process Structuring in Coaching: An Analysis of Two Cases and an Author’s Concept of Differentiated Method Selection
Conference PaperCoaching psychology: methodology, theory, practice. Evidence-based approach- Author:
- Irina E. Dormidontova
- Work direction:
- Методология «Психологии коучинга» (Coaching Psychology)
- Abstract:
- The article examines the importance of differentiated selection of coaching methods depending on the leading deficit of the client’s request. Based on two anonymized cases from individual coaching practice, different types of client tasks are analyzed: professional self-determination and entrepreneurial procrastination. In the first case, the client was in a situation of professional uncertainty and needed to clarify personal orientations, criteria for searching for a new job, and the image of the future professional self. In the second case, the client already had several areas of activity and understood which ideas were of interest, but faced fatigue, procrastination, self-devaluation, and difficulty bringing actions to completion. Based on the analysis, the article proposes an author’s concept of differentiated structuring of a coaching session. According to this concept, the coach first determines what exactly needs to be structured and only then selects the appropriate techniques.

- Abstract:
- The article examines leader creativity as a key competence that determines the innovativeness and resilience of an organization in conditions of digital transformation. Based on a meta-analytic review of 266 studies, it is shown that authentic, empowering, and entrepreneurial leadership styles demonstrate the strongest associations with team creative performance. The "leader's triangle" model (strategy — creativity — AI) is presented, describing the new role of the leader as the architect of a human-machine creative ecosystem. The connection between leader creativity and the author's fractal model of leadership potential is demonstrated, and the role of the author's art-coaching method as an instrument for developing creative competence is substantiated.

- Abstract:

- Abstract:
- Coaching psychology has emerged as a rigorous scientific discipline that applies psychological theory and methods to support goal attainment, performance enhancement, and personal development. This paper provides a systematic overview of the principal techniques and tools employed in evidence-based coaching practice, examining their theoretical foundations, empirical support, and practical applications across diverse professional domains – business, healthcare, education, and sport. Drawing on peer-reviewed literature and international coaching standards, the study analyses four major technique clusters: goal-focused approaches (the GROW model), solution-focused coaching, cognitive-behavioural coaching, and positive psychology-based interventions. Core practical tools – powerful questioning, the Wheel of Life, values clarification, and mindfulness-based practices – are examined with respect to their application in leader development, organisational consulting, and individual coaching. The analysis reveals that the effectiveness of coaching techniques depends not on their isolated use but on their skilful integration within a coherent, client-centred coaching relationship. The paper concludes that advancing the evidence base of coaching psychology requires longitudinal outcome research, greater methodological rigour, and sustained integration of neuroscientific findings into coaching practice.

- Abstract:
- The article substantiates the concept of a supportive environment for organizational change, the core of which is coaching practices — individual and team formats. The results of an empirical study of the socio-psychological factors of successful change in a sample of 400 employees of Russian organizations are presented. It was found that trust in the leader of change is a stable predictor of employees' positive personal attitude to change in all eight consistently constructed regression models. Coaching support is described as a systemic tool that forms a trusting culture of the organization, removes communication barriers, reduces the risk of cognitive distortions and ensures the organic involvement of staff in the preparation and implementation of changes. The conclusions are based on the data of the conducted research, international meta-analyses of coaching effectiveness and the work of Russian authors in the field of coaching psychology.

- Abstract:
- The article presents a differentiated approach to developing leaders' readiness to integrate artificial intelligence into the management system. Drawing on the author's typology of five managerial mindset profiles in the context of AI readiness, an optimal development format is defined for each profile — coaching, mentoring, their combination, or the shaping of an organizational environment. Particular attention is given to the «Strategist of Power» profile, for which classical individual development formats are inapplicable. Cases from the author's consulting practice are presented. The connection between the typology and the two-circuit model of leadership potential diagnostics is demonstrated.

- Abstract:
- The article presents an original concept of fractal connection between a leader's personal potential (T-circuit) and professional leadership competencies (L-circuit). It is demonstrated that gaps in life spheres automatically block the development of corresponding competencies. A dual-circuit diagnostic model is proposed with an original structure of 8 spheres × 3 sub-spheres (T-circuit) and 8 competencies × 3 sub-spheres (L-circuit), assessed through a system of original indices: T-Vitality, L-Vitality, T-Balance, L-Balance, and the meta-index LTI. The methodology is part of the original human potential development program "Path to Self-Realization." It is based on a study of 135 CEO-2 level executives and demonstrates the practical applicability of the "inside-out" development strategy.

- Psychological security in the digital environment of an educational institution
- Abstract:
- This article presents a critical analysis of marketing strategies and ethical aspects of neurological coaching (neurocoaching) promotion within the Russian-speaking information space. Based on an examination of training organizations' materials, the study identifies key issues in marketing communications, including the use of pseudoscientific terminology, exploitation of the "seductive allure" of neuroscience, and unsubstantiated promises of results. The research reveals significant gaps between neuroscientific evidence and claims made in neurocoaching promotional materials. - Work direction:
- Security of educational activities during quarantine measures
- Abstract:
- This article presents a generalized competency model for cognitive-behavioral coaches (GCM CBC) developed through the synthesis of existing coaching competency models, including international (ICF, EMCC, IAC, AC) and Russian-language frameworks (ARC, NFPMC), as well as the Beck Institute's Cognitive Therapy Rating Scale (CTRS), while accounting for the specific characteristics of the cognitive-behavioral approach in coaching. The development methodology employed semantic analysis and clustering of behavioral indicators, resulting in the identification of four key competency clusters manifested within coaching sessions: goal orientation, interpersonal interaction, interventions, and process, as well as two clusters manifested outside sessions. The developed model may serve as a foundation for standardizing professional training of cognitive-behavioral coaches, developing certification programs, and ensuring quality assurance in practice.
