    Abstract:
    The article is devoted to the study of self-organization as a key condition for the success of the educational and professional activity of medical college students. Based on a theoretical analysis, the main approaches to understanding this phenomenon are systematized and its structural components are identified. The results of an empirical study conducted among students of the "Nursing" specialty revealed both a positive dynamic in the general level of self-organization by the senior year and persistent problems in the sphere of activity regulation and internal motivation. The work substantiates the didactic potential of simulation practice as a means of targeted formation of self-organization skills in conditions that model future professional reality.

  • Dynamics of physical fitness and morphofunctional development of first-year students of Samara Agricultural University in 10 years

    Abstract:
    This section presents the results of studies of indicators of physical fitness and morphofunctional development of first-year female students of the Samara Agrarian University in dynamics from 2015 to 2025. It was found that in first-year students over a ten-year period, there was a deterioration in the results of six types of tests out of seven, except for the lifting of the trunk from a lying position on the floor, hands behind the head, where the result did not change. The girls showed a significant (p<0.05) decrease in their overall physical fitness by 12.4% over the course of ten years. It was found that an increase in physical development was accompanied by a decrease in physical fitness among the students. Over the course of ten years, the right and left hand's grip strength decreased by 12.4% and 10.4%, respectively, indicating a decrease in the relative strength of the hand muscles. The results of the back dynamometry correspond to the value of 51.3±4.7 kg, which is also lower than the average values for this category of subjects. The indicators of central hemodynamics, such as heart rate, double product (Robinson index), pulse pressure, circulation efficiency coefficient, and endurance coefficient, indicate a weakening of the cardiovascular system in female students both ten years ago and today, and the situation has remained almost unchanged over the decade of our observations. The indicators of central hemodynamics once again demonstrate the lack of physical activity and hypodynamia among first-year students, both ten years ago and today. First-year students are advised to urgently reconsider their attitude towards physical exercise and pay more attention to developing their basic motor skills in their leisure activities, increasing their weekly physical activity to 8–10 hours.

The purpose of the study is to explore the possibilities of using game methods to enhance the motivation and needs of students studying in professional fields. The article provides examples of effective use of didactic games in teaching students and the application of gamification and its elements as modern approaches to professional training in both higher and secondary educational institutions. The main result of the study is an increase in interest in future professional activities.

    This chapter is devoted to the theoretical and practical aspects of early professional diagnosis and orientation of students with disabilities at the basic general education level, aimed at mastering engineering and technical specialties. The article considers the specifics of the psychophysical characteristics of this category of students, which determines their professional capabilities in technical fields, as well as the factors of professional self-determination. The substantial characteristics of the career guidance minimum for students with disabilities and disabilities at the basic, basic and advanced levels of complexity are highlighted. The algorithms of career guidance support for students with hearing, vision, speech, musculoskeletal disorders, ASD and ASD are described, including adapted procedures for conducting and implementing the content of career guidance diagnostics.

    Motivation for learning is one of the most crucial tools for building a high-quality education, an educational environment in which students learn to develop a strategy for their future life and responsibly build a self-development trajectory. A number of researchers note that creating models of such self-development trajectories for students remains a challenge; there are no developed guidelines for building their own educational path. The objective of this study is to examine the conceptual structure of developing academic motivation through the step-by-step development of an individual educational environment using modern digital technologies. Structural components are developed. At each stage (component), tasks are detailed and their content is described. In addition, in the event of incorrect task completion, correction strategies are identified.

    Abstract:
    This article addresses the problem of activating the cognitive activity of high school students in the process of preparing for the OGE, or the Basic State Exam in Mathematics, through the use of digital tools. A review of scientific works dedicated to both the activation of students' cognitive activity and the use of digital tools for this purpose has been conducted. The authors examine three aspects that encourage high school students to use digital tools in their exam preparation: 1) motivational; 2) the opportunity to independently identify problems, formulate hypotheses, and control their actions; 3) the achievement of new educational results that are difficult or impossible to obtain in traditional forms. As a result, a classification of digital tools and platforms such as Uchi.ru, Reshu OGE, Online Test Pad, FIPI, "YaKlass," and "Foxford" is presented, along with their advantages and disadvantages. This will further assist students in more accurately selecting suitable platforms

    Abstract:
    The article discusses the current problem of assessing the potential of self-development and self-education competencies of students in pedagogical specialties as key factors in their professional development. It is revealed that the formation of these competencies is a necessary condition for the successful training of highly qualified pedagogical personnel who meet the requirements of the modern education market. The purpose of the study was to identify the key components of self-development and self-education potential, as well as to analyze existing approaches to their assessment in the context of the Russian and international educational environment. To achieve this goal, the authors used methods of scientific literature analysis, comparative analysis of pedagogical practices, and educational standards. The article provides an analysis of the phenomena of self-education and self-development as factors of professional development, an overview of assessment methods, identification of problems in university practice, and suggestions for improving educational programs and diagnostic tools. The practical significance of the study lies in the development of theoretical foundations and practical recommendations for assessing and forming self-education and self-development competencies, which contributes to improving the quality of training highly qualified pedagogical personnel in Russia and foreign countries.

  • Group Formats of Preparation for the Main State Exam in Social Studies (from Work Experience)

    Abstract:
    At the end of the 9th grade, in most regions of the Russian Federation, students must pass four exams: two mandatory (Russian language and Mathematics) and two optional, one of which is often the Main State Exam in Social Studies; however, approximately 7% of students fail to pass it each year. This article explores preparation in mini-groups for this exam, aiming to analyze the possibilities and results of using such a group format. The research aims are: 1) to analyze the theoretical aspects of preparing students for the Main State Exam in Social Studies; 2) to describe, structure, and evaluate the author's model for organizing preparation in the format of micro-groups. To achieve these aims, the author analyzed scientific and methodological materials and summarized the results of his own teaching activities, including systematic testing of methods. The testing of this proposed system has demonstrated its didactic effectiveness, as it combines remote and in-person learning, personalized work in small groups, an interactive approach involving subject-subject interaction, and multi-level monitoring. This strategy not only promotes the systematic mastery of subject content but also focuses on developing students' meta-subject competencies and psychological readiness for the final examination process.

  • Participation in IT Startups as a Tool for Forming Soft Skills in IT Bachelor’s Degree Students

    In modern society, it is essential for any specialist to develop not only professional but also universal, so-called soft skills. These skills enhance professional competency (hard skills) by complementing it. For most employers in IT and technology companies, "soft" competencies are equally or even more important than professional ones. This leads to the conclusion that fostering soft skills in IT undergraduate students is necessary already at the university stage. This article explores the potential of participation in IT startups as a tool for developing soft skills in IT bachelor's students. It analyzes the concept and classification of soft skills, as well as key employer requirements for the soft skills of candidates at various IT position levels. The paper describes the experience of a group of IT bachelor's students participating in an acceleration program, during which the team completed an IT project to develop a low-code constructor for MiniApps. The stages of the project work are outlined, detailing the goals and content of activities at each stage, along with the associated opportunities for soft skills development. The results of the theoretical study indicated the high potential of student participation in such projects for soft skills formation, which was confirmed by a pedagogical experiment showing positive progress in student skill development.

    The work is devoted to the study of the relationship between self-efficacy and self-management of students of a pedagogical university. Personal self-efficacy as the ability to quickly and effectively solve problems in various areas of life is typical for some students of a pedagogical university. So, self-effectiveness in the field of communication is quite well developed, the level of self-effectiveness in subject activities is somewhat lower. Understanding self-management is essential for uncovering the mechanisms of personal growth, professional success, and social adaptation. The students' real ability to manage their academic and extracurricular processes leaves much to be desired, especially in key areas such as forecasting, self-monitoring, and correction. Students' confidence in their professional (subject) abilities is closely intertwined with the ability to manage their activities. There is a paradox: students are confident in their abilities, but they do not have the developed skills to implement this confidence in well-planned actions. Correlation analysis revealed a stable and growing link between self-efficacy and self-management among students. As we learn, this connection strengthens and affects more and more components of self-government, which confirms their mutual development.

  • The role of authentic texts in developing reading fluency among school students

    In this work, the focus was placed on how real-world materials help students move beyond artificial textbook language and interact with English as it is used by native speakers. Attention was drawn to the idea that reading fluency develops not only through speed and accuracy, but also through the ability to grasp meaning, interpret context, and respond to content emotionally and intellectually. During the work, authentic texts were viewed as newspapers, online articles, short stories, advertisements, blogs, and other naturally occurring samples of language. In the work, it was highlighted that regular exposure to authentic content increases engagement, encourages curiosity, and motivates students to read more. This creates a space where reading is not a mechanical decoding activity but a living dialogue with language. There was also shown a connection between authentic input and vocabulary growth, as students encounter idioms, discourse markers, and natural phrasing that rarely appear in simplified materials. As a result, learners gradually read faster, recognize patterns more confidently, and approach texts with less fear. The presented material confirms that authentic reading practice forms fluency more deeply than traditional scripted texts and prepares school students for real communication beyond the classroom.

    The article considers the problem of forming the communicative skills of younger schoolchildren as one of the key ones in modern schools. The relevance of the study is due to the need to develop children's skills of effective interaction with other people and the environment required by modern educational standards, as well as the difficulties in implementing these skills in the educational process. The purpose of the study is to analyze and compare theoretical approaches to the formation of communication skills of younger students. students to identify effective ways of their development in education. The author refers to the ideas of L.S. Vygotsky and A.N. Leontiev, who emphasize the importance of dialogue and joint activity in the formation of communicative skills.     Specialized school education today aims to enhance learning motivation and acquire knowledge and skills necessary for future professions. The choice of specialized subjects by 9th-grade graduates for in-depth study in specialized 10th-11th grades also implies passing the Unified State Exam (USE) in these subjects at the specialized level. However, the results are often lower than expected by graduates, their parents, and teachers. This article, based on an analysis of the 2024 Unified State Exam (USE) results in mathematics (specialized level), examines the format of self-analysis of a mathematics teacher's own errors in teaching schoolchildren. It proposes a set of updated competencies for mathematics teachers to improve the quality of graduates' mathematical training. As a result of discussing the problems of modern specialized school mathematics education, particularly the update of the direction of specialized school education (introduction of agrotechnological classes), with participants of professional development programs (specialists from regional education development institutes overseeing specialized school education, and heads and deputy heads of general education organizations), constructive approaches to mathematical training of schoolchildren are outlined. These approaches aim to apply mathematical knowledge, applied mathematical skills, and abilities in mastering related academic subjects, using the example of mathematics education in specialized agrotechnological classes.

  • Emotional Intelligence and Assertiveness: Aspects of the Relationship in Helping Professions Students

    In the contemporary world, characterized by high uncertainty and increasing demands on specialists, especially in helping professions, the development of key personal competencies becomes critically important. The aim of this study was to investigate the interrelationship between emotional intelligence and assertiveness in students preparing for helping professions. The study involved 100 students (aged 17–18) studying psychology and pedagogy. Emotional intelligence was assessed using methods by D. V. Lyusin, M. A. Manoylova, and N. Shutte. The level of assertiveness was measured using the V. P. Sheinov questionnaire. Statistical data processing was performed using Pearson's correlation analysis. The results revealed statistically significant positive correlations between all studied indicators of emotional intelligence and the level of assertiveness. The strongest relationships were found between assertiveness and intrapersonal and interpersonal emotional intelligence (Lyusin's method), the integral emotional intelligence indicator and the ability to manage one's own feelings (Manoylova's method), and the overall emotional intelligence score (Shutte's method).     Abstract:
    The study focuses on a comparative analysis of the cultural-activity approach and the theory of self-determination related to learning and the diagnotics of learning motives. In addition to the theoretical analysis, the study presents the results of an empirical study of the perceptions of high school students and college students regarding learning motives, which was conducted using a voluntary, anonymous online survey conducted on a Google form. The sample consisted of 107 9th-11th grade students and college students aged 14–19 years. Four methods were used: «Diagnotics of University Students’ (and High School Students’) Learning Motivation» (Badmaeva, 2004), «Academic Motivation Scales» (Gordeeva, Sychev, Osin, 2014), «Comprehensive Assessment of Learning Motivation» (Vartanova, 2000), and «Comprehensive Assessment of Learning Motivation – Pilot Scales», which includes six scales derived from this questionnaire (Glotova, Sh ipilova, 2025). Correlation analysis (according to Spearman) and factor analysis with Varimax rotation were used to process the data. As a result of the study, multiple correlations were obtained between the scales of the four methods; factor analysis revealed the influence of the «social spectrum» learning motive factor and the three «activity spectrum» learning motive factors in the perceptions of high school students; it was shown that the differences in the distribution of the scales of the four methods relative to the identified factors are largely due to the theoretical and methodological differences between the cultural-activity approach and the theory of self-determination, which underlie the methods of diagnosing learning motivation and the learning technologies associated with these approaches.

    Abstract:
    This chapter discusses the features of the formation of logical thinking in primary school students based on modern innovative methods and pedagogical technologies. Particular attention is paid to the analysis and classification of innovative teaching methods, such as gaming technologies, critical thinking development technology, problem-based learning, the use of digital interactive resources, as well as elements of STEM education. Describes the conditions for the effective use of these approaches in the educational process of primary school, as well as pedagogical techniques that contribute to the formation of basic logical operations: analysis, comparison, synthesis, generalization, classification. Presents examples of tasks and exercises aimed at developing logical thinking within the framework of classroom and extracurricular activities. The importance of an individual approach, the creation of a developing educational environment and the active involvement of students in the process of reasoning and finding a solution is emphasized.
