    Abstract:
    The article considers the problem of choice of an advanced training course in digital literacy by a modern teacher. An attention is paid to practical skills and abilities a modern teacher should have when using distant technologies in the educational process. The content analysis of a suitable advanced training course is made. Such a course must be aimed at comprehensive development of the necessary skills and be implemented by means of distant technologies as well. As a conclusion, it is stated that such a course should be of the complex nature.

    The subject of the research are digital technologies used in higher education abroad and in Russia. The global expansion of information and communication technologies is leading to a digital transformation of the world space. Currently, the processes of digitalization affect all areas of economic activity, including education. When organizing the educational process, modern technological platforms are used to implement the flow of knowledge through synchronous and asynchronous communication. Assessment of the level of digitalization of educational organizations should be focused on the analysis of the effectiveness of interaction between all participants in the educational process. Research and teaching staff involved in the educational process should have competencies in the field of information and communication technologies and be guides and motivators of learning, able to help navigate the huge flows of information. Therefore, important tasks for each University are: training, retraining and training of specialists in specialized competencies in the field of digitalization, monitoring the needs of the modern production market and implementing educational programs that ensure the Russian education to a qualitatively new level.

As a result of the study mechanisms for organizational, managerial and content-technological support for the creation of such environment in the university have been developed.     The article examines the modern capabilities of using digital technologies in the preschool education system. The use of these digital technologies under present-day conditions is simply necessary due to the fact that preschoolers today represent a new generation, for which the use of various gadgets and applications is an everyday routine. It is outlined that the use of digital technologies in the education system and the provision of diversity in teaching methods, changing activities and the development of children’s desire to master virtual tools and teaching methods contributes to increasing children’s interest in the learning process and develops their motivation in educational activities. The article focuses on the relevance of the use of digital storytelling technology in the study of English by preschoolers. The author of the article comes to the conclusion about the effectiveness of this technology, talks about the stages of preparation for the successful implementation and use of storytelling technology in English lessons, and also offers resources that will help teachers to implement the technology in the educational process. The author shows the advantages of using digital storytelling technology, makes recommendations on its combination with other educational technologies in order to ensure the diversity in pedagogical approaches being used as well as to improve the learning of material and maintain the constant cognitive interest of preschoolers in the English language.

    Abstract:
    The authors outline that the main trend in modern education, both in Russia and in the world as a whole, is the digitalization and informatization of the educational process. This leads to disagreements in understanding the potential of this phenomenon, as the main factor, affecting the comprehensive and systematic development and self-development of a modern student’s personality. In turn, this is due to the diverse interpretations of the terms, included in this area of the knowledge, by other sciences without taking into account the specifics of the educational process, which prompted the authors to undertake the study. The purpose of the article is to review the basic concepts, related to the informatization of modern education in Russia, as well as to describe the trends in the use of information and communication technologies in the educational process, their role in the formation of the information and educational environment of an educational institution. Methods. The main research method is the analysis of literary sources and regulations, related to the field of information technologies application in education, on the basis of which the authors consider and generalize different concepts. Results. Based on the results of the study, conclusions are drawn about the importance of information and communication technologies and the information and educational environment as the main factors in the modernization of the educational process. However, the importance of combining the traditional teaching methods with methods, based on the use of innovative technologies without a fundamental change in the educational paradigm was emphasized.

  • The Use of Information and Communication Technologies in Teaching Economics to Students in Basic School

    The author of the article outlines that the problem of teaching methods is one of the most important in pedagogical science and practice of school teaching, since teaching methods are the main tools with which a tutor teaches the basics of science to students, develops their cognitive abilities, ensures personal development and forms a scientific worldview. The article formulates the role of information and communication technologies (ICT) in the educational process. The pedagogical experiment of using ICT in teaching economics to primary school children is described. The purpose of the research is to form economic knowledge in primary school children using information and communication technologies. Method of research. The following methods were used in the study: comparison, analysis, observation and experiment. The experiment was conducted among 24 schoolchildren who were divided into a control and experimental group. A variety of ICTs were used: an interactive whiteboard, reference and multimedia Internet resources, social networks, various messengers, presentations made in the Microsoft Power Point program, as well as using the Prezi service. Research result. In the control group, the average level of economic knowledge increased by more than 40%. The number of schoolchildren with an average and high level of economic knowledge in the experimental group increased by 3 and 2.5 times. Conclusions are made about the possibility of using ICT in teaching economics to school children.

  • Modern Opportunities of Using Blockchain Technology in the Education System

    The article is devoted to the blockchain technology that that has been booming in recent years. The purpose of the article is to review the literature on the modern possibilities of using blockchain technology in the education system. A brief description of blockchain technology is given, modern directions for its development are put forward. The article analyzes the possibilities and prospects of using blockchain to solve some problems in the education system, describes the features and advantages of using blockchain technology in the field of education that are known today. The positive changes in the educational process, which may result from the use of this technology are defined. The article discusses the shortcomings and problems associated with the use of blockchain technology in education. Methods and materials: a systematic search of literature on Google Scholar databases was performed, works on the use of BT in education were reviewed, and materials on blockchain technology in education that are available on Research Gate were analyzed. The authors outline that most projects using the blockchain in education are under development. Currently, there is already data on the implementation of blockchain technology in the form of confirmation of the authenticity of documents on education, a student’s personal card, confirmation of accreditation of an educational organization and intellectual property, student identification. Results. 67 papers were identified in the Google Scholar database and 80 publications in the eLibrary database. A large number of online conversations on the topic under study were revealed, and 25 publications turned out to be full-text journal articles. The authors noted that every day there are new articles, reports about the organization of startups, the formation of research teams working to study the possibilities of using BT in the education system. Conclusions. The authors summarize the possibilities of using blockchain technologies in the field of education. The interdisciplinary approach and cooperation of educators with blockchain specialists will keep up with the booming digital technologies.
