    Abstract:
    The article explores current issues in the development of cross-disciplinary (meta-subject) learning outcomes among school students in the context of digital transformation in education. A brief pedagogical overview of the concept is provided, as defined in Russian federal educational standards. The paper presents findings from a sociological survey of schoolteachers aimed at identifying challenges in achieving meta-subject goals, such as lack of instructional materials, limited time, and the need for digital tools. The study reveals that teachers' methodological competencies and their use of ICT tools vary depending on teaching experience and subject area. As a practical solution, the article proposes the development of a digital assignment constructor platform to support teachers in creating tasks that foster meta-subject skills.

    The influence of board games on the development of intellectual, communicative and creative abilities is investigated. Their role as a tool for the formation of personal and professional skills is analyzed. Special attention is paid to the process of self—designing games, viewed through the prism of a step-by-step approach - from the idea to the creation of a prototype. It is emphasized that the development of game products contributes to the development of analytical thinking, the ability to work in a team and the development of game design as a pedagogical method used in education, project activities and digital technologies.

    Abstract:
    The article examines the features and challenges of developing digital educational content (DEC) in the modern educational process. A definition of DEC is provided, and its advantages—such as flexibility, personalization, and accessibility of learning—are highlighted. The article analyzes the main difficulties arising in the creation and implementation of digital content, including technological, methodological, and psychological issues. Special attention is paid to the age-related and pedagogical aspects of applying DEC at different levels of education. The study is based on an analysis of scientific publications and the author’s personal experience. In conclusion, the article offers proposals for improving the quality and effectiveness of digital educational content in Russia.

  • Improving the effectiveness of the learning curriculum on children's railways through the development of environmental literacy and inclusive creative technologies

    Abstract:
    The article describes an educational project aimed at increasing student engagement and consolidating educational material through the practical use of secondary resources. The author describes the experience of creating thematic dioramas as a means of visual representation of the studied sections of the program. Special emphasis is placed on the possibility of children with disabilities participating in the project, which made it possible to implement an inclusive approach to learning. The project was implemented as part of optional classes on the Sverdlovsk Children's Railway for five months. The participants used recycled materials such as cardboard boxes, old brushes, wires, book covers, etc. – as well as elements of modern technologies, including 3D printing. The work contributed to the development of creative, engineering and environmental thinking, communication skills and teamwork. The results showed the effectiveness of the method: children were actively involved in the learning process, showed independence and initiative, and also increased the level of understanding of the educational material. The project confirmed the potential of using accessible materials and inclusive practices to form sustainable knowledge and value orientations among students.

  • The connection of ideas about parents with the motives of teaching older adolescents

    The study is devoted to the research of older adolescents' ideas about their parents' attitude towards them and the relationships of these ideas with the motives of learning. A correlation study was performed based on a voluntary, anonymous online survey of older adolescents conducted in a Google form. The main sample for studying the relationships between the motives of learning and the ideas of older adolescents about their parents' attitude towards them consisted of 111 students in grades 9–11 and college students aged 14–18 years. Two methods were used: the questionnaire «Adolescents about parents» (ADOR), which allows assessing adolescents' ideas of their parents' attitude towards them separately for mothers and fathers (Wasserman et al., 2001); the questionnaire «Comprehensive assessment of motivation for learning activities» (Vartanova, 2000). Correlation analysis (according to Spearman) was used in data processing. The results showed the presence of a stable core of significant correlations, manifested for both mothers and fathers, between adolescents' ideas about their parents' attitude towards them and the motives of learning. The stable core of the relationships consisted of two positive correlations between the scale of parents' «positive interest» in an adolescent's life and studies and the pilot scales of learning motives selected from the unified scale of motivation for learning activities, such as «the motive of caring for the future» and «the motive of being a professional student». The stable core also includes a negative correlation of the scale of parents' «inconsistency» towards the adolescent with his «motive of caring for the future». In addition, differences were found in the correlations between adolescents' ideas of their mothers' attitude and their fathers' attitude towards them with pilot scales of adolescents' motives of learning.

    In the context of rapid digitalization of education and the transformation of social realities, rethinking pedagogical competencies becomes critically important for fostering sustainable learning motivation among school students. The article focuses on systematizing universal pedagogical competencies (UPC) that ensure effective student engagement in the educational process, with an emphasis on integrating digital technologies and personalizing learning. Based on an analysis of contemporary research and practices, the authors identify key areas, including the development of a teacher's emotional intelligence, the use of active and gamified teaching methods, and the creation of a supportive learning environment that promotes students' psychological well-being. Special attention is given to the role of digital tools, such as interactive platforms and online resources, in enhancing motivational strategies. The research findings are structured in a table illustrating the relationship between UPC and specific methods for increasing motivation, such as project-based learning, task differentiation, and the use of multimedia resources. The study emphasizes the need for continuous professional development of teachers, including mastering new technologies and improving emotional competence. The work contributes to the theory and practice of modern education by offering practical solutions for adapting pedagogical approaches to the challenges of the digital age.

    Abstract:
    This work is devoted to the development of the spheres of individuality of a university student through the integration of an electronic course into the educational process during foreign language classes for the first- and second-year bachelor students of Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University. The creation of a specially designed course in the electronic information and educational environment (https://eios.kantiana.ru/) is based on a number of principles: individualization and variability of the studying process, practical focus of the educational material. The electronic learning course allows the student to develop spheres of individuality through planning and building an educational route, through the choice of educational material, preparation of creative project works, through monitoring academic progress, and etc. Experimental verification of the exposed hypothesis that the development of the student’s individuality spheres will be quite effective provided that a specially created electronic learning course is implemented into the educational process, allowing to activate all student’s mental processes when studying a foreign language. This verification is realized in accordance with three stages. The obtained results have confirmed the proposed hypothesis about a positive influence of the electronic learning course on the development of spheres of individuality of a student in the process of studying.

  • Effective methods of teaching regional studies

    Abstract:
    This article provides a detailed analysis of the methods of project and problem-oriented learning. The methods presented by the authors of the article are considered to be the most effective in the process of training students of regional studies in accordance with the requirements of the competence approach of the federal state educational standards. The authors conducted an analytical review of theoretical ideas about regional studies. The article reveals the opposite points of view of domestic scientists on its understanding – these are the studies of V.V. Makarenko and V.A. Gorbanyov. The article presents the teaching methods that are the most effective for the formation of the necessary competencies in students within the framework of the realization of the requirements of the federal state educational standards. Such methods included: "Challenge Based Learning", "Pebble in the Pond", 4C/ID (4 components – 4 components and instructional design – pedagogical design), business game. The result of the study was the conclusion that the basis of regional studies is best reflected in the interdisciplinary approach, which combines both classical methods of training bachelors and masters and modern methods.

    The chapter proposes a method for analyzing economic systems based on the use of a model of simultaneous equations and machine learning. The architecture of a fully connected neural network capable of reflecting the structure of a discrete-time control system and allowing the identification of a system of simultaneous equations is considered. A method for training a neural network is proposed that allows estimating the coefficients of a set of simultaneous equations. A method for forecasting a multivariate time series based on the estimated structural parameters of the system using a perceptron is presented.

    The development of educational export is an important strategic task both for Russian universities at the institutional level, allowing them to increase the level of global competitiveness, and at the state level, ensuring the implementation of the principles of the «soft power» strategy. Both of these goal-settings contribute to the achievement of national interests through attraction and persuasion. To increase the efficiency of the export of Russian education and high-quality training of specialists for the global labor market, it is necessary to develop effective methods, mechanisms and technologies for improving the intercultural adaptive environment of educational organizations, which became the main goal of this study. Cultural diversity is a key value guide for the classification of cultures of peoples and countries, as well as an important criterion for the effective management of multicultural groups and organizations. In the context of educational organizations, cultural diversity is becoming a powerful driver for the development of competencies in the host institutions for foreign students, but it is important to systematically approach all components of an intercultural adaptive environment based on the implementation and scaling of best practices. In this study, based on a sociological survey of foreign students in Russian universities, priority adaptation tools are systematized both along the internal contour of the educational organization, as well as and in external bilateral and network interactions. The research recommendations are both strategic in nature, defining the fundamental tasks of educational organizations to create an intercultural adaptive environment, and of an applied and methodological nature, based on proposals regarding the development of specific tools for intercultural adaptation.

  • Leisure and Play in Plato's Teaching and Learning Philosophy

    A detailed study of the dialogues of Plato, the father of the fathers of philosophy and pedagogy, reveals that he considered leisure to be the central goal of education in the liberal arts. Schools should teach citizens not to avoid leisure by choosing excessive work, but instead to turn to virtue, embodied in the state in the daily practice of the liberal arts. But play was Plato’s method of education. Children learned best through playful activities that engaged their enthusiasm, that «turned the gaze of their souls» to the Good and the True. Likewise, play was the best way for adults to learn and practice philosophy, and it was the only way to discover new truth. Play was also central to the Socratic method. Plato found that dialogue at its highest and most serious level was a game for both teacher and student. Although the main thrust of playful education was to turn people to truth and to make them do philosophy for themselves, according to Plato, Being itself is in play.

Анализируются преимущества, которые эти технологии предоставляют студентам и преподавателям, такие как доступность, гибкость и интерактивность образовательного процесса. Также обсуждаются проблемы и вызовы, с которыми сталкиваются участники образовательного процесса, включая цифровое неравенство и отсутствие мотивации у студентов. В заключение подчеркивается, что интеграция цифровых технологий в образование открывает новые горизонты для обучения, но требует комплексного подхода к решению возникающих трудностей.

    The study focuses on adapting successful metrics for evaluating the effectiveness of corporate coaching used in the United States to the countries of the CIS, taking into account cultural differences (Golvy, 2019; Whitmore, 2020). The novelty lies in identifying and adapting metrics that consider the specifics of cultural codes and social identity in CIS countries (Hofstede, Hofstede, Minkov, 2019; Trompenaars, Hampden-Turner, 2020). Metrics are viewed as tools for assessment and methods to deepen client work, enhance awareness of the process, improve its measurability, and foster professional growth for coaches (Tajfel, 1979; Burns, 1978). The study examines international experience in measuring coaching effectiveness, with a particular emphasis on adapting American approaches to the corporate environment using online platforms, as well as analyzing results (Bass, 1985; Seligman, 2011).

  • Higher education and generative Ai: a new reality for faculty

    This study investigates the effects of generative AI (GAI) on higher education, drawing on survey data from Tomsk State University (TSU) faculty who underwent GAI training. The results demonstrate that GAI substantially alters course planning, student-faculty interaction, and the instructor's role. While GAI offers opportunities for enhanced efficiency, enriched learning, and personalization, it also presents risks related to academic integrity, overdependence, and reliability. The findings underscore the importance of comprehensive faculty training and robust institutional infrastructure to support GAI implementation.
