    Abstract:
    The article presents the results of a study that allowed us to draw an output about the features of conflict behavioral patterns of spouses. Men in conflicts try to compete or negotiate for their own interests, while most of the female sample avoid solving the problem; the overall level of aggression among men is slightly higher than among women. Almost all men participating in the study choose aggression as a psychological strategy, while avoidance is the main strategy for women. The female sample is mostly dominated by archetypes related to wisdom, fertility, home maintenance, and parenting, while men choose strength, power, strategies, narcissism, and impartiality.

    When resolving disputes, family members, having reached an impasse, usually either solve everything on their own and subject themselves to an emotional shake-up, not only themselves, but also others, or go to court, which spends even more resources, often not getting the result they expected. The mediation service considered in the article, which deals with issues of family conflicts, is designed for such a way of resolving disputes, in which both sides of the conflict are included in resolving the issues that arise without spending extra emotional and material resources.

    Abstract:
    The article is devoted to the application of the positional vision of the structures of a literary text to the categorical apparatus of the functional theory of text. The relevance of the problem under consideration is explained by the need to systematize the methodological concepts of various concepts in modern Russian studies and to develop, on this basis, methodological recommendations that can improve the use of the textocentric approach with focus on school education. The article uses philological methods of modern text theory, in particular, structural theory of text (Yu. M. Lotman), stylistic analysis of a literary text (N. A. Rudiakov), linguistic tool studies (A. N. Rudiakov), methods of highlighting intense positions of text (I. V. Arnold), some ideas of communicative stylistics (N. S. Bolotnova), as well as original author's methods. The study material are presented by poems by Joseph Brodsky: «Vse chuzhdo v dome novomu zhiltcu…» (1962), «V derevne Bog zhivet ne po uglam…» (1964 ) and «Ty ne skazhesh komaru…» (1991), the experience of the interpretation of which made it possible to illustrate the epistemological effectiveness of the positional approach. The results of the research allow us to systematize the ideas about the basic principles of linguistic and hermeneutical description of a literary text. Modeling of the functional relationship between the conceptual information of a poetic text and its significant components, identified when using the concept of "strong position of the text", is possible by applying a General regulatory understanding of language activity, which is based on the approach to language as a tool for speech influence on the individual picture of the recipient's world. The conclusions reached by the author of the article make it possible to clarify the basic concepts of the functional theory of text related to the interpretation of the elements of the individual author's world picture in the literary text and also to offer a methodological basis for applying linguistic knowledge to the issues of text analysis in school practice.

    This theoretical analysis is devoted to the problem of conflicts during pubertal growth stage, the object of which is adolescents during puberty (11–14 years old). At this age, the clash between the tension that goes with the formation of personality and external conflicts with various social structures, which inevitably affect the construction of the personality, character and value system of adolescents, seems to be the most pronounced. This period is interesting because it complicates relationships with parents, other adults, and peers, which are accompanied by diverse, complex, and often contradictory experiences. The desire for independence and self-reliance increases, and self-awareness develops. If adults do not take into account these age-related needs and their attitude to adolescents does not change, there is a risk of deviations in behavior and personality formation, the formation of negative character traits, and the development of inadequate self-esteem. To reveal the nature of interpersonal conflicts and specific training and education in schools with multiethnic environment in order to achieve this communicative competence of those who work in such an environment, and determine strategies for resolving conflict, allegations of conflict in various scientific sources, types of conflicts and those that are characteristic of these schools, the reasons and strategies of conflict resolution and the use of teaching materials and lessons for developing skills, positive attitudes and strategies of conflict resolution in students. But we consider the empirical material collected here and now to be the most valuable source of information, because only with the help of empirical methods we can get an objective idea of the state of this problem in modern conditions. To achieve this communicative competence of those who work in such an environment, and to identify strategies for conflict resolution, statements about conflict in various scientific sources, types of conflicts and those that are characteristic of these schools, causes and strategies for conflict resolution, and the use of educational materials and lessons to develop positive attitude skills and strategies for conflict resolution in students. But we consider the empirical material collected here and now to be the most valuable source of information, because only with the help of empirical methods can we get an objective idea of the state of this problem in modern conditions. The relevance of this problem lies in the fact that in everyday communication with children, we are increasingly faced with such a reaction as aggression. Ethnic conflicts often go unnoticed by teachers, but lead to serious consequences for the weakened child's mental health.

  • Ethnic Specificity of Cultural Codes

    Abstract:
    The author compares and analyzes some definitions of the concept of cultural code offered by Russian and foreign linguists and semiologists. Aspects of this concept are singled out and described. Regulatory, semiotic and retransmitting functions of cultural codes are briefly characterized. The relationship between the concepts of cultural code and picture of the world is revealed. The author’s interpretation of the concept of cultural code is given, the ethnic specificity of cultural codes is revealed, its factors are described, participation of cultural codes in forming ethnic mentality is demonstrated. The author shows discrepancies in understanding reality due to the difference in the cultural codes used and points out that the role of cultural code can be performed by any perceptible area of reality: landscapes, natural phenomena, fauna, flora, artifacts (household utensils, tools, weapons, garments of clothes, dwelling places etc.) and actions with the listed items. All this is regarded in the article as semiotic means of thinking and communication. Methods. The analysis of cultural codes was carried out by using the methods of cross-cultural analysis and interlingual comparison on the material of English and Russian metaphoric set phrases. Conclusion. The conclusion is made concerning the influence of cultural codes on the choice of the path of historic development and, ultimately, on the fates of nations.

    The scientific work includes wide theoretical and practical material about the study of necessity to use and teach students-future interpreters how to emphasize and neutralize connotations during fiction translation. Use of fiction as translation teaching aids is substantiated from the point of view of possible worlds theory and mental space of a language. Frequently used lexical, stylistics and combinatory transformations are recognized in translation of connotations from English into Russian on the example of the novel “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” by J.K. Rowling. The scientific work deals with the study of using different transformations due to which there is an effect of emphasizing and neutralizing. Difficulties of connotation translation are observed and ways to overcome the difficulties are given.

    The authors outline that the main trend in modern education, both in Russia and in the world as a whole, is the digitalization and informatization of the educational process. This leads to disagreements in understanding the potential of this phenomenon, as the main factor, affecting the comprehensive and systematic development and self-development of a modern student’s personality. In turn, this is due to the diverse interpretations of the terms, included in this area of the knowledge, by other sciences without taking into account the specifics of the educational process, which prompted the authors to undertake the study. The purpose of the article is to review the basic concepts, related to the informatization of modern education in Russia, as well as to describe the trends in the use of information and communication technologies in the educational process, their role in the formation of the information and educational environment of an educational institution. Methods. The main research method is the analysis of literary sources and regulations, related to the field of information technologies application in education, on the basis of which the authors consider and generalize different concepts. Results. Based on the results of the study, conclusions are drawn about the importance of information and communication technologies and the information and educational environment as the main factors in the modernization of the educational process. However, the importance of combining the traditional teaching methods with methods, based on the use of innovative technologies without a fundamental change in the educational paradigm was emphasized.

  • Innovative Potential of Photobook Format in Ethnocultural Communication

    Abstract:
    The features of such a widely used format as a photo book in the context of visual ethnography were reviewed in the article. It is noted that the photobook is studied as a tool for creating visual ethnographic materials that allow to conduct a research on modern cultures and ethnic groups to form a cultural identity. Methods. As the subject of analysis, modern photobooks created by the photographer from Japan Ikuru Kuwajima were selected. Results. The potential of the photobook as an author's work is revealed and its communicative potential in ethnocultural interaction is described. An ethno-photo book is defined as a format of visual communication in which each photograph has an ethnical meaning, which contributes to the creation of author's photo narration, as a specific form of reflection of an ethnos, with a representation of ethnic images. The special functions of the ethno-photo book, which are realized upon activation of the author’s principle, are highlighted: the search for their own identity; pictorial (plot) narrative about an ethnic group; creating the integrity of ethno-narration; increment of information about the ethnic group; ethnos research by means of a photo image; details of the ethnic world view; preservation of ethnic pictures of the world; comprehending the culture of another. It has been determined that a modern photo book is distinguished by documentary content and multimedia features that give its content traits of pragmatism and streaming. An ethno-photo book is manifested as a meaningful substantial work in which the author narrates a pictorial story about an ethnos through photographs, creating a holistic artistic and semantic image of the ethnos. It is concluded that all this contributes to a special emphasis of the reader on certain elements of the ethnographic image and contributes to the creation of new information about the ethnos. It is mentioned that one of the varieties of photobooks is the author's photobook, as an in-depth study of oneself in the context of the ethnicity of the territories reflected in the photo-chronicles of the photographer.

    The article is devoted to the development of the direction of work on the creation of qualitatively new innovative solutions to ensure the reliability of connections of machine elements. The recommendations are based on the analysis of studies on wear process of the fixed joints of machine elements during microdisplacements in contact under the influence of vibration at high temperatures. It is established that physical and chemical processes occurring in the area of actual contact of the joint elements are varied and the effect of temperature on tribological characteristics of frictional contact is complex, since with an increase in temperature the reduction of worn-out volume can occur as well as increase of it. To predict the resistance of the contact to fretting, it is necessary to conduct a force analysis on the contact and determine the spectral composition of vibrations affecting the friction contact.

    The article is devoted to foreign language education which is more effective if a student becomes the subject of his own learning process. Modern information and communication technologies (ICT) contain an enormous potential for increasing the share of independent work in the educational process. ICT is everything that helps and allows you to collect, process, store and transmit information in an electronic form. Today, the traditional carrier of the electronic information is increasingly being superseded by cloud services, allowing you to create a virtual workspace. The purpose of the research is to study the educational potential of the modern Internet space, review the main educational online resources on the Internet in English, which can be used, both for teaching and self-learning a foreign language. In the process of the research, both empirical research methods (studying various sources of information, including the Internet, observation, interviews) and theoretical ones (analysis, synthesis, classification of the information received, the descriptive method) were used. The result of our study is a review of the main online services that can be used in a foreign language education. Digital tools for the formation of language skills (lexical, grammatical, pronunciation) and the development of speech skills in all types of speech activity (listening, speaking, reading, writing) are considered. It is concluded that in the modern Internet space there are huge educational resources in English for teachers and students that allow them to promote foreign language education. These resources are an important tool in the educational process and allow you to increase the level of students’ independence.
