    The article deals with the problem of learning a foreign language, the necessity of rethinking a familiar picture of the world, adoption of a different way of thinking and building your speech in accordance with other rules. The key to understanding a foreign language culture is the analysis of new learning models. Pedagogical overcoming of factors hindering the adoption and understanding of another culture allows developing the country's ethnocultural potential and achieving strengthening of the social and political as well as social and economic stability of the society and contributing to a productive intercultural dialogue.

    Abstract:
    The problem of improving the reliability and service life of friction units operating in extreme operating conditions, especially at high temperatures, is mainly solved by the use of ceramic materials. The paper analyzes the tribotechnical properties of ceramic materials based on partially stabilized zirconium dioxide and formulates proposals for the optimal selection of friction pairs based on experimental data.

    Abstract:
    The purpose of the article is to identify and substantiate the innovative pedagogical searches in the field of the use of constantly developing information and communications technologies (ICT) in Russia and China. A comparative analysis of types of teaching was carried out taking into account the active use of information and communications technologies. Chinese experience is of great interest to Russian teachers due to the rich Chinese philosophy, national traditions and pedagogical knowledge. Russia and China have deep historical, integration, economic and cultural ties. The system of Chinese education brought the country to the leading position in the world and to the second place in the economy. The author reveals similarities in the education system of Russia and China. Positive achievements in the education systems of each of these countries are mutually enriching each other, acquiring a global character. At the same time, the Chinese education system has a number of achievements that have to be integrated into the Russian education system. The study compares the traditional and innovative types of teaching in Russia and China in terms of indicators: an approach to teaching, a dominant idea, a goal, centering on the subject of activity, teacher (instructor) roles, student roles, values on which a teacher (an instructor) relies, advantages, disadvantages, main results. The study identifies the essential characteristics of the types of teaching and makes it possible to establish that, at a theoretical level, the traditional and innovative types of teaching are opposed, but in practice they organically combine, complement and reinforce each other. China's experience in the use of ICTs in education is invaluable in the implementation of the modernization of education in Russia.

    Abstract:
    The article deals with the problems of professional training of persons serving sentences in correctional institutions. Getting basic general education by convicted persons is an effective means of correction and contributes to the further re-socialization of the individual after release. The article deals with the features of the educational process in relation to certain categories of convicts (disabled, minors). The authors have analyzed the foreign experience of the use of educational and vocational programs in relation to prisoners (on the example of programs in the USA) and drawn conclusions about the possibility of using this experience in peal institutions of the Russian Federation. Based on the analysis of practical experience in the implementation of educational programs in the institutions of the penal system, the authors have proposed revisions and additions to the articles 108 and 112 of the Criminal executive code of the Russian Federation.
