The article analyzes the key factors influencing the formation of professional readiness among high school students. It examines the internal (personal, cognitive, and motivational) and external (family, school, social environment, and labor market) determinants of the process of professional self-determination. Special attention is given to the role of pedagogical support, interaction with external institutions, and the influence of digital technologies. Based on the analysis of current research, the article provides recommendations for improving the system of career guidance in schools.
