- Abstract:
- The chapter is devoted to some aspects of studying the construction of new ecosystems and, in particular, medical ecosystems. This topic is very relevant, in view of the fact that currently all over the world and in the Russian Federation there is a process of transition to a new model of the existence of individual systems and industries, which are beginning to include full-fledged ecosystems. Medicine was no exception. All over the world, including in our country, medical ecosystems are beginning to form, the goal of which should be to improve the quality of medical care provided, as well as improve the quality of medicine in general. The purpose of this scientific work was an attempt to analyze the awareness of medical students and doctors about medical ecosystems, as well as to identify the main problems, including those of an economic nature, that arise during the creation and construction of new medical ecosystems, according to the subjects of the study. The subjects of the study were 200 people: 100 6th year students of the Faculty of Medicine of Voronezh State Medical University. N.N. Burdenko; 100 people became representatives of practical healthcare – doctors of the Voronezh Regional Clinical Hospital No. 1. The study was based on a questionnaire developed by the authors, containing several blocks of questions relating to the gender and age of respondents, their awareness of existing ecosystems and medical ecosystems, in particular; about their attitude to the above systems and about the opportunity to become part of such a medical ecosystem. But, directly, the most important part of the presented research was the study of existing problems that arise, according to the respondents, during the formation and formation of various ecosystems, including medical ones. As well as a more detailed study of various economic problems and their ranking. The data obtained allow us to take a fresh look at the problems of building ecosystems, including medical ones, and are also of interest to representatives of many specialties and professions – for economists, for lawyers, for doctors, for higher education teachers involved, for example, in the process training medical students, etc.

- Abstract:
- The chapter discusses the issue of mentoring in a medical school. This topic is very relevant due to the fact that the process of forming a new doctor as a specialist is not only one of the priority tasks of the social sphere and medicine in particular, but also an important task for the state as a whole. Since ancient times, the deepest knowledge and experience have been passed on from mentor to student – future physician. Recently, in addition to pedagogical mentoring, student mentoring has begun to emerge in the world. However, the continuation of the existence of mentoring and its development is impossible without identifying possible difficulties and problems, which was the goal of the presented work. The subjects of the study were 150 people – students and teachers of VSMU named after. N.N. Burdenko. Group 1 included 50 1st year students of the Faculty of Medicine; group 2 – 50 6th year students of the Faculty of Medicine; Group 3 – 50 university teachers from various departments. After processing and assessing the gender and age composition, the subjects were asked to evaluate various aspects related to mentoring, in particular – the level of awareness of mentoring, both pedagogical and student; determine the need for mentoring of both types in general and assess their impact on the educational process and on the choice of further specialty. The final part of the study was an analysis of various problems associated with both pedagogical and student mentoring. The data obtained allow to take a fresh look at mentoring in general and at existing problems, and to think about possible ways to solve them. This article may be of some interest to higher education teachers and medical university teachers involved in mentoring, as well as participating in the formation of student mentoring.

- Abstract:
- The purpose of the study was to investigate the relationship between the use of reading strategies and reading achievement between high and low EFL university students in Ethiopia. To this effect, sixty students were selected (30 top high achievers and 30 least low achievers) using stratified sampling technique. The Survey of Reading Strategies and Reading Comprehension Test were employed to discover students’ reading strategy use, and to measure their reading ability respectively. Thus, thirty reading strategies of the survey and fifty reading comprehension questions were administered to students. The data gathered was statistically analyzed through descriptive statistics, independent samples t-test and Pearson correlation. The findings of the study revealed that High achievers adopted a diverse and more reading strategies in higher frequency compared to low achievers. This difference between the groups was significant. The result also showed that there was a relationship between students’ three main strategies use (i.e., global, problem-solving and support reading strategies and their reading achievement). Based on the findings, it was recommended to raise awareness to enhance students' use of various strategies at higher frequency and the low achievers must be encouraged to use the reading strategies more frequently in general and global reading strategies in particular.

- Abstract:
- The relevance of the research is due to the objective need for further implementation of the achievements of the theory of problem-based learning in the educational process of secondary school through the development of new, more advanced, technological maps of the English lesson that meet modern conditions and regulatory framework. Based on the analysis of scientific publications, it was revealed that at present there is a lack of practice-oriented methodological recommendations based on the technology of problem-based learning for English lessons in general educational organizations. Studies aimed at introducing problem-based learning in English lessons do not always take into account the specifics of meeting the requirements for the development of the technological map of the lesson, including the provisions of the Federal Educational Program of Basic General Education and the updated requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard of Basic General Education, which entered into force on September 1, 2022. Therefore, the authors have developed a technological lesson map, which is based on the theory of problem-based learning and includes the most effective components of linguistic and pedagogical models of problem situations. Evaluation of the implementation of the research results according to the methods of E.V. Mukhacheva and L. Michelson proved that the technological map of the English language lesson developed on the basis of problem-based learning in secondary school contributes to the achievement by students of educational results in the academic subject "English" required by the Federal Educational Program of Basic General Education and the Federal State Educational Standard of Basic General Education.

Individual Educational Trajectories in Russian Universities: The Essence and Problems of Their Implementation in Modern Conditions
Book Chapter
Modern Challenges of Education and Psychology of Personality Formation- Author:
- Aleksandr A. Kiselev
- Work direction:
- Глава 2
- Abstract:
- Currently, university teachers have many questions about the introduction of individual educational trajectories (IET) into the educational process of universities. Unfortunately, the introduction of such educational technologies is often interpreted by researchers without a proper understanding of the principles and foundations of pedagogy, such as from simple to complex, individual approach to learning, etc. All this is due to the fact that most often the development of the introduction of IET in universities is carried out by people who do not have a professional pedagogical education or at least sufficient experience in professional pedagogical activity in universities, or even in general, who simply seek to make money on it. As a result, the introduction of individual educational trajectories turns into a process of far-fetched provisions that are incomprehensible to teachers and have nothing to do with the development of higher education, and, accordingly, are not perceived by the teaching staff of universities. At the same time, the necessary technical and software for the implementation of IOT is often missing. And this gives rise to numerous problems in the development of domestic higher education in modern conditions and negatively affects the increase in its effectiveness. This article attempts to deal with the essence and problems of the implementation of IET in universities from the standpoint of pedagogy and practical pedagogical experience.

- Abstract:
- The article discusses the results of an empirical study of the coping behavior of adolescents without a family. The research topic is relevant and significant at the present stage of society's development. To study the features of coping behavior of adolescents without a family, the method "Coping behavior in stressful situations" by N.S. Endler and D.A. Parker, adapted by T.L. Kryukova, was used. In the course of the study, it was found that all types of coping behavior are less pronounced in adolescents without a family compared to adolescents from a family. All teenagers without a family use problem-oriented coping at a low level. Teenagers without a family are less likely to seek help from other people compared to teenagers from a family. Adolescents without a family and adolescents from a family in difficult stressful situations are less likely than other types of coping to use problem-oriented coping aimed at solving the problem, and more often coping focused on avoidance.

Modern Problems of the Development of Russian Higher Education as a Practice-Oriented Professional Education
Book Chapter
Psychological and Pedagogical Issues of Modern Education- Author:
- Aleksandr A. Kiselev
- Work direction:
- Foreword
- Abstract:
- The following paper analyzes the Russian system of education. Modern practice in the development of higher professional education shows that today's graduates of Russian universities for the most part are not prepared for real practical work in organizations as professionals. Undoubtedly, the time and changing conditions for the implementation of the activities of Russian universities over the past three decades have changed significantly. However, the training of modern professionals in the new conditions was based not on the domestic experience of universities, but on foreign approaches to two-level higher education – the training of graduates of Russian universities as bachelors and masters. But at the same time, Russian researchers and officials do not have a clear understanding of the difference in the level of professional training of students, both bachelors and masters. And the declared new “competence-based approach”, when it is proposed to form students with rather “vague” competencies, presented in the Federal State Educational Standards for Higher Education of the Federal State Educational Standards of Higher Education 3++, does not allow employers to see the professionals they need in a modern university graduate. And the fact that the modern West does not recognize the diplomas of graduates of Russian universities indicates that today it is necessary to implement a policy of import substitution in higher education, and, based on domestic experience in training graduates of Russian universities as specialists-engineers, to prepare them for real practical work in Russian organizations.

- Abstract:
- One of the main branches of engineering in the Republic of Tatarstan is the compressor industry. Produced compressors are used both in Tatarstan itself and throughout Russia. The need of the industry for a large range of centrifugal compressors leads to the need to reduce the time of their creation. In this regard, it is relevant to develop mathematical models that, having relative simplicity, accurately calculate real processes. These requirements are met by methods based on the use of a quasi-three-dimensional flow model in the flow parts of turbomachines. Two components of this method are now widely used. In this paper, we consider its third component, the so-called third two-dimensional problem. It is its solution that makes it possible to refine the shape of the flow surfaces that differ from axisymmetric ones and, thereby, more accurately model the spatial nature of the flow in the flow path.

- Abstract:
- The purpose of the article is to consider the leading approaches to the problem of substantiating the means of professional and personal growth of a teacher in the domestic psychological and pedagogical science of the first quarter of the twentieth century on the basis of historical and pedagogical analysis. The material for the study was the scientific and pedagogical works of psychologists and teachers of the named period, their ideas about the teacher's place in society, the need to assist the teacher in his professional development and self-improvement. Among other things, the works of the prominent Russian scientist M.F. Belyaev are analyzed. As a result of the study, it was revealed that the studied historical period is characterized by a special, socially conditioned and in-demand professional community, a research search aimed at the scientific substantiation of key aspects of teacher work, professional self-determination of the teacher and his professional and personal growth, as well as the identification of the main tools that ensure the productivity of this process. The ways of understanding the role of pedagogical expertise as a significant means of teacher self-improvement in the ideological legacy of psychologist and teacher M.F. Belyaev, who laid the methodological foundations of the examination of the teacher's work as a means of his professional and personal growth and justified the need for its humanitarian orientation, are shown. The significance of the ideas expressed by the scientist for modern education and their role in its further progressive development is determined.

- The implementation of bourgeois reforms, the abolition of serfdom were an objective incentive for the acquisition of knowledge by the most numerous class of Russian society - the peasantry. A major role in the development of primary education was played by three-year zemstvo schools, created with modest funds from the local budget and donations from ascetics. Under the influence of the rapid development of the economy, the state is taking the most important step in the secondary education system - making the transition from real classes to real gymnasiums. The post-reform era is a time of successful development of pedagogical science.
