Higher education and generative Ai: a new reality for faculty
ProceedingPedagogy, Psychology, Society: from theory to practice- Author:
- Фещенко Артем Викторович
- Work direction:
- Цифровая трансформация образования
- Abstract:
- This study investigates the effects of generative AI (GAI) on higher education, drawing on survey data from Tomsk State University (TSU) faculty who underwent GAI training. The results demonstrate that GAI substantially alters course planning, student-faculty interaction, and the instructor's role. While GAI offers opportunities for enhanced efficiency, enriched learning, and personalization, it also presents risks related to academic integrity, overdependence, and reliability. The findings underscore the importance of comprehensive faculty training and robust institutional infrastructure to support GAI implementation.

- Инновации в образовании: интеграция новых знаний и технологий в учебные программы
- Abstract:
- Gamification in education is the integration of game elements and principles into the educational process. This approach uses different techniques such as scores, levels, points, achievements, and competitions to create a more interactive learning environment. However, the introduction of gamification is also associated with a number of disadvantages, which include the risk of reduced academic activity, difficulty in assessing knowledge, and the need to take into account students' individual preferences. In general, gamification is a promising area that can significantly enrich the learning process if it is used taking into account its advantages and disadvantages.

- Abstract:
- The phenomenon of the impact of metaphorical associative cards remains poorly understood in modern scientific and methodological literature. At the same time, the effectiveness of their impact and the lack of knowledge of the psychological mechanisms and principles of operation of MAC (metaphorical associative cards) encourage the imagination of students and clients to attribute them to a mystical realm, comparing them with Tarot cards. This chapter will be useful for practical psychologists, educators, psychotherapists, specialists in related fields of art therapy, art pedagogy, and anyone interested in metaphorical associative cards as an effective art therapeutic tool.

- Abstract:
- Among the classic works on the philosophy of education, the work of George Herbert Mead occupies a special place. Mead points out that we usually approach education in reverse, focusing, even in the early years, on assessing and ranking children on their individual performance. We also make adult goals central, breaking adult understandings into fragments that children absorb piecemeal, without meaning. Mead suggests that these priorities should be reversed. We should begin with simple social activities, such as play, which involves shared activities or simple division of roles. We should also begin with an emphasis on social-emotional comfort and connection rather than intellectual activity, gradually moving to more autonomous and intellectually oriented activities.

SECONDARY GENERAL EDUCATION TEACHERS’ AGING (ON THE EXAMPLE OF ALATYR CHUVASH REPUBLIC)
Book ChapterModern issues of pedagogy and psychology: theoretical and methodological approaches and practical research results- Author:
- Irina V. Rodionova
- Work direction:
- Глава 14
- Abstract:
- The purpose of the study is to consider the teachers’ aging. The factors influencing it are marked, using the example of Alatyr in the Chuvash Republic. In the chapter reveals the local features of secondary school staffing based on the empirical research analysis conducted in the period of 2021 – 2023. To understand the dynamic of changes in teachers’ aging, statistics was calculated. To visualize the results of the study a graphical method was used. The trend towards the aging of teachers in the school system of Alatyr, Chuvash Republic is obvious. It is also proved by the results of the research in pools of primary school, English and Maths teachers in 2021 and 2023. Current data may enable local education authorities to take a long-term approach to establishing a systematic set of strategies to build a more solid ground of the profession. The practical significance of the research lies in the fact that the obtained data, indicating a low level of renewal of the teaching staff, can be used to improve the situation with the aging of teachers. The novelty of the study lies in the fact that previously the teachers’ aging problem was not directly associated with local features of secondary school staffing. The data can be used by specialists to clarify the system of actions to stimulate the recruitment and retention of new teachers in the school system of a small town considering the local features.

A study of the impact of digitalization on the development of reading literacy in schoolchildren
Book ChapterModern issues of pedagogy and psychology: theoretical and methodological approaches and practical research results- Authors:
- Railia R. Shapirova, Raziia F. Akhtarieva
- Work direction:
- Глава 15
- Abstract:
- One of the key challenges associated with the introduction of digital technologies is changing the structure and form of reading. Schoolchildren increasingly prefer short, visually rich texts, which affects their ability to perceive more complex, multi-layered literary works. To improve the level of reading literacy, it is necessary to develop comprehensive approaches that take into account the opportunities and limitations of the digital environment so that every student can maximize the benefits of using modern technologies in education. The authors considered the psychological and pedagogical aspects of the impact of digitalization on the development of reading literacy in schoolchildren, analyzed the experience of using digitalization to develop reading literacy in schoolchildren, and identified the levels of reading literacy. To solve the tasks set, scientific tools were used, including comparative and statistical analysis, study and analysis of research carried out in the field of school education, study of regulatory documents, modeling, observation, study of educational products, and questionnaires.

The effectiveness of using case technologies in teaching biology
Book ChapterModern issues of pedagogy and psychology: theoretical and methodological approaches and practical research results- Author:
- Olga V. Khotuliova
- Work direction:
- Глава 16
- Abstract:
- The chapter is devoted to the application of one of the most relevant and in-demand biology teaching technologies in school – case study. Biology as an academic subject has great potential for the implementation of various forms of educational organization. FGOS SOE sets a number of difficult tasks for biology, one of which is to organize the educational process in such a way that it is as effective as possible and brings real results, but at the same time meets all the stated requirements. Case technologies successfully cope with this task. The cases are in high demand and relevant to use. They perform well in preparing students for exams and Olympiads. It can also be supplemented with out-of-text components: diagrams, graphs, tables, drawings, photographs, etc. At the same time, the case is as informative as possible, includes different points of view, and also examines current problems of biology.

Developing the interest of younger schoolchildren in studying historical facts in the process of solving functional problems
Book ChapterModern issues of pedagogy and psychology: theoretical and methodological approaches and practical research results- Author:
- Svetlana B. Barashkina
- Work direction:
- Глава 18
- Abstract:
- In the chapter the author pays special attention to the development of interest among younger schoolchildren in studying historical facts in the context of the space of a modern school. As a problem, the author considers the volume of historical concepts offered in the course "The World around us", the lack of methodological resources in verbal teaching tools appropriate to the age and reading literacy of elementary school students. As a solution to this problem, the author suggests using a functional task technique that allows students to diversify their activities while learning about historical facts. The author's judgments are based on the views of scientists who will be of interest to the pedagogical community.
