Transformation of the Role of a Teacher of Socio-Humanitarian Disciplines in the Context of Digitalization of Education
Research Article
Development of education Volume 9 No 2- Author:
- Irina V. Staroverova
- Work direction:
- Pedagogy and Modern Education
- Abstract:
- The article analyzes the changing role of the teacher of socio-humanitarian disciplines (SHD) in the context of the widespread adoption of generative artificial intelligence (AI) in the educational process. The aim of the study is to identify the directions of transformation of the professional position of the SHD teacher and to propose a model that enables the adaptation of the educational process to the new digital reality. It is shown that the traditional model of the teacher as the primary source of knowledge and an expert-controller no longer works when students have constant access to generative AI systems capable of producing coherent and outwardly persuasive responses. The “simulacrum effect” creates a particular vulnerability for SHDs: generative models can easily produce a passable philosophical or sociological essay without any genuine understanding of the content. The author argues that the new role of the SHD teacher involves shifting the focus from transmitting ready-made knowledge to teaching information literacy skills, including verification and prompt engineering. A three-level model of teacher role transformation is proposed: the methodological level (teaching verification and prompt engineering), the project-facilitation level (hybrid “human + AI” formats), and the ethical-reflexive level (defining the boundaries of acceptable AI use). A fourth, integrative level is also described, which is achieved upon mastering the previous three and involves the teacher transitioning to the role of academic mentor, guiding students through the research cycle of “generation – critique – reflection”. Based on practical experience, specific methods are described, such as the “three-layer essay” and “AI reviewer”, that enable the implementation of this model in the educational process. The proposed model transforms the teacher's role not toward competition with AI, but toward that of a mentor who cultivates critical thinking and research culture.

Professional Training of Future Primary School Teachers to Develop a Sense of Patriotism in Students Through Regional Distinctiveness
Review Article
Development of education Volume 9 No 2- Authors:
- Svetlana I. Belovitskaya, Diana K. Meshayan
- Work direction:
- Pedagogy and Modern Education
- Abstract:
- This article focuses on the organization of professional training for future primary school teachers to foster a sense of patriotism in young students. The authors explore the pedagogical potential of regionally focused educational content. The article also focuses on the specifics of integrating various approaches to the use of historical, cultural-geographical, and folklore-based content into the professional training of future teachers. Based on a theoretical analysis of the scientific works of domestic and foreign researchers, the authors convincingly revealed the relationship between the development of a sense of patriotism in primary school students and the organization of professional training for future primary school teachers, taking into account the introduction of regional content into the educational process. The authors have developed a theoretical model of professional training of future primary school teachers to develop a sense of patriotism in students based on regional characteristics, which presents the features of integrating the regional component into the educational process of future teachers in order to prepare them to develop a sense of patriotism in primary school students. The article is addressed to the faculty training future teachers, primary school teachers, parents of primary school students, students of pedagogical educational institutions, as well as those interested in the problems of primary general education and the professional training of future specialists.

The competence paradigm as a resource for the formation of a future teacher's professional identity
Book Chapter
Issues of education and psychology- Author:
- Bela K. Panesh
- Work direction:
- Глава 6
- Abstract:
- The chapter notes that in the context of the modernization of higher pedagogical education, the priority is becoming the formation of graduates not only knowledge, but also the ability for professional self-realization. However, the high percentage of young teachers leaving the profession (up to 50% in the first five years) indicates a crisis of professional identity. The chapter substantiates that the competence paradigm can act not only as a tool for formal assessment, but also as a resource for the formation of a future teacher's professional identity. The author examines the theoretical and methodological foundations of identity research, analyzes the resource potential of the competence approach, identifies the mechanisms of transformation of competencies into identity: activity-based, reflexive, social, and value-semantic. Pedagogical conditions for realizing the resource potential are proposed. It is concluded that professional identity is formed under the condition of special pedagogical design, which makes competencies a personally significant way of professional existence.

- Abstract:
- This article addresses the development of psychological and pedagogical support in contemporary educational systems. Moving beyond traditional models focused on academic performance and behavioural compliance, the authors argue for a holistic, student-centred approach that integrates cognitive, emotional, and social dimensions of learning. Drawing on a review of empirical studies from 2010 to 2024 and qualitative observations from Russian and international schools, the paper identifies three core pillars of effective psychological and pedagogical support. The article concludes that sustainable support systems require systemic change – not isolated interventions – and offers practical recommendations for teachers, school psychologists, and administrators.

- Психология профессиональной деятельности: мотивация, карьерное развитие, самоменеджмент, командообразование
- Abstract:
- This article presents the results of an empirical analysis of the relationships between psychological well-being (the PERMA model) and professionally significant personal resources among linguistics students at a pedagogical university. A cross-sectional study was conducted on a sample of 100 fourth-year students. Using nonparametric statistics (Spearman's ρ, Mann–Whitney U test), the formation of a "resource cluster" was confirmed: growth mindset and foreign language learning enjoyment demonstrate a strong mutual relationship (ρ = 0.692), while emotional intelligence is most closely associated with well-being (ρ = 0.745). An analysis of extreme groups (25th/75th percentiles) revealed a significant superiority of students with high PERMA scores across all three resources (r = 0.45–0.61). A weak non-significant relationship was found between engagement and self-control (ρ = 0.193, p = 0.054), which does not contradict theoretical conceptions of engagement.

Modern issues of pedagogy and psychology: theoretical and methodological approaches and practical re-search results- Author:
- Vadim I. Kachalov
- Work direction:
- Глава 9
- Abstract:
- The chapter discusses the current problem of digital transformation of the higher physical education system. The author substantiates the need to review approaches to the training of future physical education teachers who, in their professional activities, face a generation of students who grew up in a digital environment. There is a contradiction between the need of educational organizations for teachers who possess modern information and communication technologies, and the lack of development of methods for the formation of such competencies in universities. The chapter analyzes in detail the pedagogical conditions necessary for the successful integration of digital skills into the educational process: the introduction of a digital component in specialized disciplines, the creation of a modern material and technical base, improving the digital skills of teaching staff, as well as strengthening the practical orientation of learning through pedagogical practice and the use of gamification methods. Special attention is paid to the ethical and legal aspects of working with students' personal data and the formation of future teachers' attitudes towards continuous self-education in conditions of rapid technology obsolescence. In conclusion, it is concluded that the formation of digital competencies is a complex, multifaceted task that requires an integrated approach. The implementation of the described conditions will make it possible to train in-demand specialists who are able to effectively interact with students of the "digital generation" and use modern technologies to increase motivation, motor density of lessons and general health promotion of the younger generation.

- Глава 6
- Abstract:
- This chapter examines the pressing issue of teacher burnout in the context of 2026, characterized by rapid technological change and the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into the educational process. The relevance of this work stems from the growing contradiction between the requirements for teachers' digital competencies and their psycho-emotional stability. The aim of the chapter is to develop and theoretically substantiate a comprehensive model of psychological support adapted to working in an uncertain environment. The results of the study show that the implementation of predictive diagnostic tools and digital psychological monitoring services can reduce the risk of developing the «resistance» phase of burnout by 25–30%. The practical significance of this work lies in the feasibility of implementing the proposed models in the activities of psychological support services at educational institutions in accordance with the current legislation on psychological assistance from 2026.

- Abstract:
- There is a hidden but persistent resistance among foreign language teachers to moving beyond a purely linguistic perspective and away from a fragmented presentation of cultural facts toward a systemic cultural approach. This chapter analyzes the historical and social roots of this resistance in the educational systems of the United States, France, and Ireland. It outlines the principles of a discourse-based pedagogy that views culture as language and language as culture, and that makes the process of enunciation itself the locus of cultural difference and personal choice. Such a pedagogy allows teachers to celebrate the diversity they find in the target culture and in the cultures present in their own classrooms while remaining fundamentally and fundamentally «language» teachers.

Soft Skills in the Professional Activity of a Teacher and Their Component Composition
Review Article
Development of education Volume 9 No 1- Author:
- Svetlana G. Krasnova
- Work direction:
- Pedagogy and Modern Education
- Abstract:
- The article deals with the problem of developing teachers' soft skills and their application in the educational process. Modern teachers face the need to quickly adapt to new conditions of professional activity, effectively interact with participants in the educational process, demonstrate leadership qualities and creativity, and solve non-standard problems. The requirements for a teacher's professional competence bring to the forefront the use of a set of universal skills known as “soft skills”. The aim of the research is to clarify the concept of “soft skills”, determine their component composition, and identify the specifics of their use in the educational process, which facilitates effective interaction with both students and other participants in educational relations. It is important to apply an approach where the teacher serves as a role model and mentor, and the educational process becomes an environment for developing skills such as communication, critical thinking, empathy, creativity, etc. The article identifies a group of soft skills relevant for teachers in general education institutions and provides their characteristics. Special attention is given to digital literacy as a prerequisite for the safe and effective use of digital technologies. Based on the analysis, effective soft skills development methods were identified, including the implementation of psychological and pedagogical programs for teachers.

Development of education Volume 9 No 1- Authors:
- Svetlana V. Chusovlianova, Elena G. Zharikova
- Work direction:
- Pedagogy and Modern Education
- Abstract:
- In the context of digital transformation in education, the development of critical thinking among future teachers has become increasingly urgent due to widespread integration of generative artificial intelligence (AI) into teaching and learning processes. This paper presents a systematic review of empirical studies (2019–2025) that examine the pedagogical potential of generative language models for fostering critical thinking among students in teacher education programs. This work constitutes a secondary analysis; it synthesizes findings from ten peer-reviewed empirical and theory-informed empirical studies conducted in Russia, China, Saudi Arabia, and other countries. The literature analysis reveals that effective use of neural network-based AI tools can support the development of core critical thinking operations provided that specific pedagogical strategies are employed. At the same time, the review systematically identifies key risks associated with AI integration: cognitive laziness, academic dishonesty, and the unreliability of generated information. The paper emphasizes the necessity of cultivating students’ digital and critical literacy as a prerequisite for mindful engagement with AI-generated content, as well as the transformation of the teacher’s role from a knowledge transmitter to a facilitator of a reflective-discursive learning environment. This systematic review contributes to the theory of digital pedagogy by proposing an approach to integrating generative AI models into the professional training of language teachers.

- Abstract:
- The chapter addresses the problem of conflictological competence of teachers in general education institutions within the context of a modern educational environment characterized by a high level of conflict potential and complex subject interactions. The relevance of the study is determined by the need to improve the effectiveness of conflict management in schools and to develop professionally significant qualities of teachers that ensure constructive conflict resolution. The aim of the chapter is to analyze the characteristics of conflictological competence of teachers with different lengths of teaching experience and to identify ways of its development. The results of the study reveal qualitative differences in the structure and styles of conflict behavior among novice, experienced, and long-serving teachers, and demonstrate the influence of teaching experience on the formation of social-psychological, operational, and behavioral components of conflictological competence. The necessity of a differentiated approach to its development, taking into account the stages of professional formation of teachers, is substantiated, and key directions for enhancing conflictological competence in general education are identified.
