The article substantiates the key role of human capital as a factor of economic prosperity of the state. Based on the conducted research, the authors concluded that the various components of human capital have an impact on human well-being and the development of the country's economy. Based on the results of the study, measures have been proposed to improve the level of human capital most effectively.
At the present stage, there are increasing demands on the quality of specialist training in higher education institutions, including military ones. The article reveals the specifics of training specialists in the context of shorter training periods. The methods of training are considered, allowing to maintain the quality of training of military specialists in accordance with the requirements in conditions of shortened training time.
